Product Description

Book #2 in the new Pine Harbour series from NYT and USA Today Bestselling Author Zoe York.

Never fall in love with your best friend's little sister...

Contractor and army reservist Jake Foster fell in love with Dani Minelli when she was a colt-legged high school senior. He knew he was too old to even look at her, let alone touch.

Dani’s been trying to get his attention since returning to Pine Harbour a grown woman—and failing miserably at every turn.

This winter, everything is going to change. And when the snow stops falling, Jake and Dani won't be able to hide from their attraction any longer.

This is a full-length novel (60,000 words, 220 pages)

*ARC provided in exchange for an honest review*

I think this is one of the best novels by Zoe York to date. The things that I liked best was the work done with the main characters. So many times in this genre the men are either super-macho alpha males or they sound like 30 year old women. There is rarely anything else in between. With Jake's character he sounds and acts like a normal man. He has deeper thoughts and emotions but as is often the case, he has a lot of trouble articulating them. He sounded like a real man with faults, issues and insecurities which he dealt with like a lot of males. Dani was also a great character because while she was a bit younger than Jake she had grown up and become a woman who knows exactly what she does and doesn't want. She has her insecurities as well (as we all do) but in the end made Jake realize that she was his equal and not some little girl anymore.

There was also a little twist which was interesting and unexpected that added a bit of a more serious dimension to the story which was refreshing. There were hints about it but it still ended up being a bit of a surprise which is always good.

Thanks Zoe for the ARC and so sorry I'm late in getting this review out! Jake and Dani are a perfect match and I like that Dani's maturity out-trumps her age which you know I have a problem with the younguns' :) Their chemistry, banter and all around relationship was believable in all aspects. I can't get enough of "Small Town" romances and look forward to many more! I have never hesitated to recommend a Zoe York effort and this is no different...and I do like the full length novels, as you well know if you've read any of my reviews, so all I can say is..."Zoe keep writing the full length novels and I will be the happiest fan girl ever!!!" :)

This book is the second in this new series. I loved it. It is always fun to have old characters return and to see what they are up to and seeing Rafe and Olivia have the HEA was beautiful. And then to meet Jake and Dani again amazing. Their storyline developed quickly and although there were a few bumps along the road they navigated them all smoothly. From the first you could feel his love for her and it was just WOW! So so very good.

I just finished Jake and Dani's story and I absolutely loved it! This was a great read and I enjoyed every single page. I have read a few of Zoe's books now and everytime I finish one I always wonder why I haven't read more, I plan to rectify this right away! I think my favorite part of this book was Jake. this guy is just...ahhhhh
I definitley recommend this one and will be reading many more books from this author!
