Promises.
We all make them. Sometimes we break them. But what happens when the promise you break haunts your dreams, when that moment of betrayal echoes within every last beat of your heart?

Love.
Love is passionate, painful, and all consuming in the most brutal yet beautiful way. How many people have you said 'I love you' to? Five, ten, maybe no one? I've said that word to two men, but only one where I felt it.

Tragic.
This word sums up my relationship with Nicolas: devastating, painful, depressing.
A first love that should have lasted a lifetime, but I ruined with a stupid decision. Nicolas is my star crossed lover, and even though Shakespeare has taught me that stories such as ours always end in tragedy, I can't not love him, even if I'm married to someone else.

A love so tragic

This book touched my heart, pulled at my heart strings, broke my heart and slowly put it together again.

I loved every single word written in this book and felt every emotion that poured from the pages, going into this I hadn't read anything by Stevie J Cole but I am an instant fan. Her writing is so descriptive and the feelings this book will Evoke are incredible.

Peyton and Nicholas have the odds against them, but what this story shows is that true unbreakable love can conquer even the greatest challenges. It's a story of Love, regret, mistakes, tragedy and so much more, I couldn't put this book Down for a second, I was completely BLOWN away.

Phenomenal read! Absolutely one of my top reads of 2016.

Can't say too much in regards to storyline as this book must be read to get the feels that will leave you RAW from the emotion.

"Love is tragic. Love is painful and brutal, but above all, within true love, there is a beauty matched by nothing else. And what truly is tragic is to never love someone the way I love you"

Stevie J Cole you rocked it!!!!

I've deliberated long and hard on how to write this review on a story about a somewhat love triangle and adultery. I personally don't normally read this genre of books but the cover and the blurb led me to this journey. This story was written with emotions that I couldn't help but feel what these characters were going through. This is my 4 star spoiler free and honest review for the ARC of A Love So Tragic by Stevie J. Cole.

We have Nic and Peyton, they were each others first true love but due to undesirable circumstances they were apart for a few years. While Peyton married someone else for the wrong reasons, Nic tried to move on as best as he could. Due to shattering events in Peyton's life, Nic comes back to offer support. All of their old feelings resurface at full force. They still love each other and neither were able to move on from that first love. Life is too short and precious to have to live unhappily.

It's a beautifully written love story with a second chance that has heart, feeling, anguish, pain and happiness. Nicely written, good storyline and paced just wright. I felt what these characters were feeling. They are soulmates and had plenty of chemistry. They were right for each other. It's much more than a story about cheating, it's about true love that can never die or diminish no matter where life takes them.

This is my first time reading a book written by herself without collaboration and it won't be my last. It's a standalone with a promise of HEA. Told in dual POV. I recommend this amazing book.

A love all consuming, a love so intense that you don't know yourself, where you are going, what you should be doing - you question yourself the whole time. Stevie J Cole has in my opinion written a love story old and true - unrequited love and she has captured it magnificently. I thought this was extremely well written, beautiful, heartrending and painful sometimes, and I simply could not put it down !!!
This is the love story of Nicholas and Peyton who met and fell in love in high school. One mistake ended their relationship - a very painful ending for them both. Peyton marries Issac- a basketball player but does he really love her and can Peyton truly love him as she did her first true love -Nicholas.
Four years later that love is put to the test when Peyton's Mother passes away and Nicolas comes back to pay his respects. Does all those feeling they once had re- appear, can Peyton who is a married woman resist Nicholas and all the feelings she once had for him. Will it make her re think her life as it is now ?
The story is written from both of the characters perspectives which I really like as we get to experience both of their feelings at the time. Also it flits back to the past when they were together and you see just what sort of intense love they shared - and also the despair and the pain when that same love ended. I adored Nicholas - I cannot lie, and who wouldn't want a man to be so utterly consumed by you and love you so much that he would die for you. Yes Nicholas was a beautiful person inside and out. Peyton was another conundrum for me. What she did, she did out of love BUT it isn't what I would have done so I found her character lacking in backbone and I was frustrated by her at times.

I honestly can't say that I loved this book. I'm not even sure if I liked it. This was incredibly hard to read due to its theme, but I think that it may have been equally hard to write. I commend this author for making something as distasteful as adultery into something that didn't leave a nasty taste in my mouth. Although the topic is rough, in no way was it ugly. It was as the author wanted it. Tragic. I was warned in the prologue that I probably wasn't going to like Peyton all that much. And this is true. But I still found a lot to like about her. Number one was taking ownership for her wrong doing. She owned that s***. And I respect that. I adored Nic. This poor man suffered the most and it showed. I'm glad that his suffering wasn't for nothing. I'm happy he got his HEA.

The writing of this book was phenomenal. And despite the subject matter, nothing can take away from that. I enjoyed the letters and poems. This story was bittersweet and full of feels.
