I have ever read!!
Each book is filled with action, violence, love, treachery, friendship , sacrifice and written in such vivid detail
Qhuinn and Blay have been some of my favorite characters from the books along with Butch, Vishous and Z
The love between Blay and Qhuinn has been a long rocky road and it is a thrill to read how they finally get it all together after fighting through so many complex obstacles
JR Ward is an excellent writer she makes this fantasy world seem so real and a reader feels the huge amount of love, respect and honor in family ties
that the Brotherhood clings to when their lives are filled with violence
This is not your every day vampire story, they seem so real and each character has personalities that are filled with humor, romance, strength they just seem so real
JR Ward has such a way with words that makes you laugh out loud and really colors in the Brother's characters
eg "The sound of Vishous's yukking it up was like getting paddled in the nuts with a car fender"
(this was Qhuinn's though to himself after telling Vishous his Hummer had been stolen because Qhuinn left the keys in the car and Qhuinn hearing the chorkles over the phone from Vishous laughing
I get so excited to read a new book in the series and feel so damn sad when I have finished the book, but then I read them again
and enjoy them repeatedly.
IF YOU ARE INTO VAMPIRE STORIES , DO NOT MISS READING THIS WONDERFUL SERIES YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT
There were so many things I loved in this book, I don't know where to start. I guess that first off, the scene with Quinn and Z in the plane was one of my favorite action scenes in the series! It was so exciting and fun to read. I won't give any spoilers, but I feel like that scene gave this book life and kept it exciting!
I loved the romantic drama in this book! Quinn and Blay have had such an interesting relationship over the series. Quinn is such a fantastic and likeable character (aren't they all?), and I am thrilled that he finally gets his due in this book. I do sometimes feel like Blay doesn't have the same character depth that Quinn does but that's fine, it's a small complaint. I also really enjoyed Layla's character development, although I am unsure about how J.R. Ward is going to tackle her love interest in a future book. I am a little skeptical that it can done in a way that is believable. We will see.
As for the political drama in this book, I loved it! I am glad that J.R. Ward has taken the story into this direction. It is interesting and fresh. It also keeps all the characters that we have grown to love involved in the story and the action.
Can't wait for the next book. Have already read the series twice, and could easily read it again.
As usual, this instalment has a primary relationship as the focus, the one between Quinn & Blay. But there is much going on in the background. Wrath's tenure as king is still under threat & the sneaky bad guys have stumbled across a weapon that will catch him completely off guard & potentially change everything between he & Beth. Layla continues to worry about 2 things: her complicated pregnancy & inability to forget Xcor. Quinn receives 2 unexpected gifts, one that speaks to his future & one that reopens his disturbing past. Trez & iAm continue to build their empire while trying to evade Trez' destiny. And could it be that Assail has finally met his match? Meanwhile, Beth has started spending a lot of "girl" time with Layla & as a result, her biological clock is ticking like Big Ben.
If you're a faithful reader, you'll appreciate the author's attention to detail & how she consistently weaves in facts/events from previous books. She must have a flow chart the length of one wall to keep it all straight and not make the little errors that drive fans crazy.
This book has multiple story lines that jump off the page, several characters who are dealing with (or soon will be) life altering decisions & hints of things to come that will surely have us all waiting impatiently for the next instalment.

Love the series. Read them all. Great characters, a little steamy at times but loved the story lines. Good workPublished 20 months ago by Sue DiBattista
I couldn't even finish this book. Her books have become so formulaic and predictable (a la Stephen King).
The whole plot was boring and tedious. Read more
A friend got me started on these books, and I can't stop it. I want to know what is going to happen next. I might get confused a bit, but I still like and enjoy the books.Published on July 4 2014 by Angelina
