Are Lunchboxes Worth It?
For many people, tin foil and cling film do a perfectly good job of keeping their sandwiches fresh, seemingly eliminating the need for a lunchbox. And yet, there are plenty reasons to invest in some dedicated lunch-storage. First and foremost, tin foil and cling film can’t be reused, unlike lunchboxes, which can simply be wiped down when dirty and immediately filled with your next tasty meal. Depending on the type of lunchbox you get, they can also protect sandwiches, fruit, and yoghurts that otherwise run the risk of being squashed or bursting in your bag. Some boxes will also have dedicated compartments so you can safely carry loose food like grapes, biscuits or even meal supplements. Soft lunch boxes make safe transportation or you lunch even simpler, with many having their own strap to be easily carried separately to your other luggage. The also frequently have insulated walls, perfect for keeping foods chilled and fresh.
