Product Description

Love at first sight meets the real world.

Merlin McHenry believes everyone has a Magic Number. A gifted student of risk, probability and beautiful women, he loves Star Wars, collects board games and worships Stephen Hawking. But math makes Nance Elliott nauseous. When she meets Merlin toting a book of sonnets, she’s sure he’s just a charming geek. In one afternoon Merlin unlocks Nance’s Magic Number and by nightfall he is madly in love. Although their hearts feel destined to be together, reuniting is seldom as simple as a heart’s whim.

HASH(0x9f975d50) out of 5 stars Give this one a try! March 12 2015

I took advantage of Ms. White’s offer for a free Kindle download of her book Magic Numbers. The plot is unique and I would rate its development as 5 stars. Ms. White’s prose is definitely 5 stars as she weaves an interesting tale of two young people in love. The two main characters meet, sensually bond then try to reconnect after a sudden parting. It’s a nice book however the flow of the story is broken by frequent Actuarial anecdotes (diary entries). As standalone jokes, these are amusing, but they interrupt a nicely paced story. I rated Ms. White’s Magic Numbers as four stars and recommend it as a good read.

HASH(0x9f7050fc) out of 5 stars wonderful book April 8 2015

This book really kept my attention. Only part I didn't like was the ending. Not that it was bad, it just made me want to know what happened when they got back and separated again. Guess I will just have to wait for the next book. Good job Deb.

HASH(0x9f701e7c) out of 5 stars but it's actually a surprisingly good short story March 6 2015

This book is free and I downloaded it as a fill-in read before and on the bus, but it's actually a surprisingly good short story. There are many interesting nerdy facts, just the way I like it.
