This is the book of small miracles. Well written by a very qualified therapist, The Melt Method brings a clear, inexpensive, well explained approach to self treating musculo- squelettal issues. Being severely injured myself and a RN, i have found very little relief and hope in the realm of traditonal medicine. After eleven years of chronic debilitating pain, i approached this book with a hopeful but reserved attitude. I diligently followed her instructions and to my greatest disbelief have since had pain free moments. Her thorough explanations , descriptions, and long term regimen are clear, well recapitulated at the end, and worth the time spent reading. Contrary to a sea of useless devices created to rob you of your money this book will REALLY HELP YOU.

Book is very informative though at times it's a bit repetitious. Don't forget to purchase the actual MELT roller and foot balls. Do not bother using this book with any roller. The MELT roller is made of a different material that is soft enough to indeed melt into it. The foot and hand exercises and surprisingly effective in affecting the whole body. I did a MELT workshop in the city where I live and was very pleased with the results. The exercises are very easy to do. It's like doing myofascial release exercises ... painlessly! Great product

I've been suffering with sciatica pain for many months now. I've seen doctors, chiropractors, physiotherapist and massage therapist. Recovery has been very slow and living with pain is a struggle on all kinds of levels. Hitzmann's book has given me hope and insight into my chronic pain. The excercise are doable and the book is well written. I have not been practising long enough to give a valid opinion but I feel relieve from them so far.

I found this book very reader friendly. Sue is very informed and readliy explains her method. The book not only gives you the why of melting-the science behind it, she also outlines the different treatment techniques so you can practice at home. I have found it very beneficial to attend actual melt classes to confirm first hand what the book outlines- which is also very helpful. It is a must have manual for any classes.
Pain in my hip, and burrsitis in my shoulder have been greatly relieved by this therapeutic treatment. I was only 30 pages into the book when i realized I had to take the training! I feel so much better in my body! And the other best part?....you only need to spend 10-20 minutes a day to begin to recieve melt's benefits.

Great exercise with those in pain, I ownly hope that they will get a DVD to help speed me along to pain free, as holding the book is uncomfortable and time consuming.
The exercises can target certain areas like neck (my favorite) and lower back etc I tweeked my lower back and did the exercise right away and found much relief. I use a pool noodle ($3) and wrap a towel around it for the foam roll works great.

I am a MELT instructor, and I take great exception to this combined package of Sue Hitzmann's book, along with another book about 'stretching' and a hard foam roller. MELT is NOT meant to be done using anything but the soft foam roller, it's the reason people get such great results. Don 't be fooled! There are many wannabes showing up now, but they're not the real thing, and show an obvious ignorance of the way connective tissue actually works.

I think this method will be very effective. I live in Canada and tried to order the soft foam roller and balls on the Melt website, but as yet they do not have their shipping calculator working for out of US orders. That is a shame. They say they are working on it, but has somewhat delayed my excitement over practicing the method. Have purchased some similar equipment and will try the method out until I get notification from the website.
The method makes sense and am anxious to try it out.

The Melt Method and The Work are the best and most effective stress reduction methods I have ever experienced. I am a Physical Education graduate and have done everything from Breathlight work to meditation for the past six years quite intensely and truly these are very life changing. I highly recommend both of these transformative tools. I am so excited by The Melt Method that I am going to look into training with Sue.
