HASH(0x9f955b10) out of 5 stars MacBook for Dummies April 13 2011

Overall a good source for answering my questions. I am new to Mac Computers as I had Windows-based computers for the last 27 years. I bought this book sort of as a instruction manual since the computer didn't come with much of a detailed manual. Most of what I was looking for was in the book and was easy to understand.

HASH(0x9f955d5c) out of 5 stars A Macbook Dummy's Review Jan. 9 2007
By W. R. Jaeckle - Published on Amazon.com

As expected it's a basic volume with a friendly, reassuring tone. It helped a lot to overcome initial anxieties, and to foster a lot of eagerness to master a smart machine. It started to show its limitations at the point of explaining how to use various applications. I found very limitted help when trying to burn audible books to CD's. As a slightly wiser dummy I am still trying to figure that out......

I got into computers a little late in life at age fifty-seven, and had only been exposed to a PC. Seven years later I was given a MacBook and was totaly lost. This book came to the rescue.I'm still no expert, but I'm in no hurry. I'm happy with this book and, now with my MacBook. Bye Bye PC. I would have given the book five stars, but I have only gotten about fifty pages into it.

MacBook For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) (Paperback)
I bought several books to help me understand how to use my Macbook Pro. This was the only book that helped me. It had all the essential things you need to know to help you get the most out of your Macbook. I highly recommend it.

HASH(0x9f958090) out of 5 stars Great book... March 14 2014
By Dr. Oceanfront - Published on Amazon.com
I bought this book originally to try and understand my new Mac Air. It was so easy to understand, and simple to use, that I loved it.

Now, a few years later, I bought the newest upgrade to give to a friend who is new to the MAC world.
She loves the book and told me it is easy to use, easy to understand and has some great online tools.
I have always liked the "Dummies" book and find them very easy to use.
