I picked this book up because it was free and I find that it always opens me up so many new and awesome authors and series. I really enjoyed this book. It doesn't make you sit around and listen to every detail that some books do and it doesn't matter if it's clean or not clean to me they are all good. I really liked Tessa she reminded me of me, of how I would deal with situations and talk and such. When I got to the end and saw there was more stories to be told I was so excited and bought the next two, thinking they were the only two left in the series, but then I noticed there is even more. I am so excited for it.

Linda if you read this what an awesome book! Please keep it up!

This is a truly badly written book. I got the impression that the author just decided to write something "historical" without bothering to add history into the word choice or description of the time period. Yes, I am fully aware that romance genre readers often have to ignore some reality rules and just go with the flow, but this book is something else. No way a son in law would dare to call his father in law by his first name in 1800s, mail order brides did not pay to have an access to ads from men, and while it would seem outrageous in modern days - women had very few rights in 1800s and therefore could not have thrown such hissy fits as the heroine did for most of the novel. The story line itself is just average and nothing memorable, however, the blatant anachronisms make this book insulting to the reader and a very bad piece of writing.
