He’s back! From the filmmakers that brought you Chucky comes the terrifying return of the pint-sized doll possessed by the spirit of a notorious serial killer. When a mysterious package arrives at the house of Nica (Fiona Dourif, True Blood), she doesn’t give it much thought.  However, after her mother’s mysterious death, Nica begins to suspect that the talking, red-haired doll her visiting niece has been playing with may be the key to the ensuing bloodshed and chaos. The return of America’s favorite toy, voiced again by Brad Dourif, is unrated and full of more blood-splattered thrills and chills.

Finally they have gone back to making a creepy Chucky movie, Seed of Chucky was just awful, i mean it was funny and all but when you watch Child's Play 1 for the first time when your a kid and you get creeped out that is what you except from the series, Well everyone can rejoice now because that is what they have done with The Curse of Chucky, it's kind of a prequel/sequel of sorts , make sure to watch after the credits for an awesome scene. When you first watch this film you will probably be like, what is going on and why is Chucky here, but by the end everything comes together very nicely and everything is explained as to what is going on, i could go more in depth but don't wanna give away any spoilers.

I saw Curse Of Chucky and it's perfect in every way! For the record, it takes place after Seed of Chucky (There are clues along the way). The story returns to it's roots, yet acknowledges the entire series -- Points for consistency. When it comes to my favourite part, I can only say <3, so I don't spoil it. I think this entry will go over well. It aims to win over fans of the original and that could mean the story has a chance of continuing rather than going backwards with a remake. Just bought an actual copy today. Recommended. Xo

Tired of remakes? Just want a serie to continue on its peak and leave the wrong in the garbage?

Here's your wonder! Not the absolute masterpiece, but a wonderful start in the good direction!

Chucky left the black humor to the door step and came back dark and nightmarish as ever! Brad Dourif's still the top of the class, good actors to follow the ride and if you haven't been introduce to Dourif's dauther, here she is, showing her talent to the world as the main protagonist. Chucky mechanical and CGI portrayal are well balanced and marvelously great. A direct to DVD movie that cost 8 million, 5 times less than the remake of « A nightmare of Elm street », but it shows! Won first place at fantasia festival and many nominations!

You want to have a good old serial killer coming back in all its glory! Here's your start! :)

As I said in the title, FINALLY A DECENT CHUCKY!! This movie will hopefully revive 1 or 2 more Chucky franchise movies and def need to end it.
Love how they brought the evil ways back. Don't forget to wait through the credits for an extra scene.

Curse of Chucky(released Ay/13)stars,among others,Fiona Dourif,Danielle Bisutti,Brennan Elliott and Brad Dourif back as the voice of Chucky. As the 6th in the franchise's history, this is by FAR the worst of the bunch. The producers needed to go back and watch all the previous ones, because they failed to live up to the franchises lively dynamic and what made them so successful.Instead they use old worn tricks and shock elements that needn't have been included.
The story finds a mother and her paraplegic daughter(wheelchair bound) living alone. One day they get a package and it is a Chucky doll.By that night, the mother is dead. The next day the daughter's sister, husband, their daughter, nanny and a local priest drop by to offer condolences and comfort. They stay the evening for supper and Chucky is on the move.He sprinkles rat poison on the dinner, but we don't know whose. Out in the dining room it is the priest who starts feeling ill.He leaves and is killed in a car crash on the way home.
The sister and family decide to bunk in with her that night, which makes Chucky's night fun. It's storming out(typical, right?)and the little girl is afraid. He plays a game and locks her in a closet. With the girl out of the way,the nanny is the first to get it.Then as the mother tries to find her daughter, she gets hers while searching the attic. Her wheelchair bound sister has meanwhile had to drag herself way up the stairs and she arrives just as her sister falls down the attic stairs and into her lap.Chucky is in pursuit and she drags herself hurriedly into the sister's room and wakes the husband up who has had ear plus in.They flee into the garage. He goes back to try and find his daughter but finds the dead bodies instead.

Nica (Fiona Dourif) who is bound to a wheelchair gets a Chucky Doll in the mail. After her mother is gone, her controlling sister Barb (Danielle Bisutti) comes with her family to comfort Nica. This includes the Nanny (Maitland McConnell) a Denise Richards looking nymph you pray doesn't die before she can take a shower. The film adds some nice touches by starring Fiona Dourif, the daughter of Brad Dourif who is Chucky's voice. The throw back to Jennifer Tilly was a bonus.

In case you forgot the Chucky story, he rehashes it. This is a straight forward Chucky film which includes blood squirts, puns, and of course a doll with a knife.

Must see for fans of the franchise, a fitting sequel.

Parental Guide: F-bombs. No sex or nudity. Maitland in red bra and panties.

I've been a Child's Play / Chucky fan since I was a small child. In retrospect, perhaps I should not have been watching such films as a small child, but nevertheless it is the reason my love for this franchise is so strong. Curse of Chucky is a refreshing jump back to the original Child's Play, returning to the simplicity of a unsettling, gory and occasionally goofy Chucky that fans adore. Every fan of Child's Play needs to own & watch this flick as it does nothing, but remind me of the charm of the original. I'm glad to see Chucky get back to his roots. Without any spoilers, the film also plays great fan-service to long time fans of the franchise, leaving you quite satisfied with answers to questions of movies past. Always keep this film close. It'll be your friend until the end.
