Omg !! this is Cassia Brightmore's first book??? I can't wait to read more :)

Malevolent is dark and twisted tale about serial killer. Who is preying on small town in Louisiana. Young women are going missing and been found brutally murdered...

Sexy Sheriff Brady will stop at nothing to find and apprehend this killer. To put a stop to all the heart ache and misery in his town....

Gwyn Woods is passing through Durham Heights. She's on the run from her abusive ex and looking for place to start over. The owner of the local diner offers her a job and she decides to stay. Not knowing anything about the dark cloud that is hanging over this small town..

When Gwyn meets Brady sparks fly, and both are instantly attracted to one another....

BUT nobody has a clue who could be doing all these crazy things? Where the killer is keeping the victims for weeks? Who will be next to be taken? Are they safe in their own homes?...

This is a book you MUST read and experience for yourself. Congratulations Cassia on this fantastic debut novel :)

Holy cow! If you are a fan of dark reads, hot sex and one hell of a ride then Malevolent by debut author Cassia Brightmore is a must read…like right now!

malevolent
[muh-lev-uh-luh nt]
1.
wishing evil or harm to another or others; showing ill will; ill-disposed; malicious:
2.
evil; harmful; injurious:

Holy lightening rods does Ms. Brightmore’s mind scare the piss out of me! Who would have figured that such a sweet and innocent looking girl has this lurking in her mind? Jesus!

Get redy for the mind mess…

Malevolent is the perfect title for Brightmore’s book; it is simply put all about the EVIL!

From chapter 1 I was hooked, being a fan of dark reads I have been waiting for this book for what seemed like forever. Brightmore sets the tone for the story with chapter 1. God, it’s so fantastically written that I was immediately catapulted into the dark world of the killer. I felt like I was there; seeing the scene play out before my eyes, it’s like a traffic accident that you just cant seem to stop looking at.

Cassia’s ability to draw you in with her well-chosen words is masterful, not like what you would expect by a debut author. Honestly the end of chapter one I was white knuckling my iPad; holding it so hard, all the while literally sitting on the edge of my seat so completing entranced by Malevolent already. And let me tell you the thrill, anticipation and the rush last for all 20 chapters.

With a string of murders happening in the small town of Durham Heights, everyone is relying on the so very sexy Sheriff Brady James to save the day. Grab your B.O.B’s lady there is a new alpha hottie in town and is one hell of an alpha dominant man of the law. Yummy!

Along with Brady, Ms.

Malevolent is the debut novel from author Cassia Brightmore. I had the amazing opportunity to be given an ARC copy of this story and my head is still spinning from the vivid and detailed world Miss Brightmore has imagined. Where can I even begin writing about this book. From the very first word we are pulled into such an amazingly written story. This book was an emotional rollercoaster for me. There is laughter, love, violence and gore. There were more emotional ups and downs than I could count and it kept my fingers flying across the pages, I had to know what came next. I devoured this book until I was literally begging for more. I cried ugly, loud tears where I had to stop reading as I could no longer see the words in front of me. I had intense rage and anger while being introduced to the most dark and sadistic killer I have ever come across ( and coming from a horror movie junkie I have come across more than a few). I found myself white-knuckled holding tight to my Kindle at times, praying things would work out the way I hoped. Every time I thought I had figured out just where Cassia was taking me, she pulled the rug out from under me and ran in the opposite direction. This book kept me guessing from the first word. I think I might have actually suspected every single person in this book at one point only to be thrown for a loop yet again.

Sheriff Brady James is in charge of the small southern town of Durham Heights, trying to catch a sadistic and brutal killer dropping bodies on the doorstep of his once peaceful town. He meets beautiful Gwyn Woods, passing through on her way to starting a new life for herself, she is pulled into Brady’s world and they find themselves drawn to each other like moths to a flame.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. I have been sitting here staring at my screen replaying the journey that was Malevolent and trying to figure out how I am going to put into words just how amazing this book was. My mind is still trying to wrap itself around everything that has been thrown at it. This book sucked me in from the very first word and I found myself unable to move until I read every single syllable and Holy Jesus what a ride. This book is one hell of an emotional rollercoaster, cycling through every emotion I thought I was capable of and then some I didn’t even know were possible, leaving me with a book hangover I am not soon to recover from.

This book had me second guessing myself at every turn. Just who is this sadistic and brutal serial killer stalking the town of Durham Heights? Will the hot and incredibly sexy Sheriff Brady James be able to stop the killer before more people die? Who will win Brady’s heart, the sweet, full of light Gwyn or the Sassy, Southern Princess Mila?

Chapter one was like a sucker punch to my heart and definitely had this book living up to its genre of being a dark read. By the end my mouth was left hanging open, my mind thinking “holy crap, did that really just happen?!?” This sets the tone brilliantly for the rest of the story as Cassia weaves her tale through multiple POV’s with such vivid detail and emotion I could picture it clearly in my mind. I had more that one chill running down my spine while reading this book and as I neared the end I felt myself becoming disappointed that there would be no more.

I found myself second guessing everything and everyone that I thought I had come to know.
