For anyone new to translations of the ancient text, this one is a fabulous place to begin. Beginning with some history on the original and translations, the text then explains some of the terminology and presentations that are in it. Multiple stories are told, each describing some type of sexual encounter. However, there is always more to the story than the act itself. In some cases, the descriptions are difficult to decipher. The sketches throughout the book are helpful in understanding how the positions work. The one problem I have with them is that they are not always clear either. This comment is regarding the limbs, not genitals of the people. For the most part though it is a good.
The book deals with human nature and addresses feelings and other parts of humanity besides sexuality. Those who are simply looking for a "naughty" read should look elsewhere.
