HASH(0xa6514f90) out of 5 stars Very comfortable reading Feb. 22 2011

You can't help but feel you are sitting in your livingroom chatting with Kathleen about her experiences. I have been thru miscarriages myself, but my husband at the time was far from being supportive. I related to all her self doubts, anger, fustrations and loneliness feelings.
Reading her words make you feel comforted, and you can feel her warmth reaching out to you.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Are you asking "Why me God!". If so, this book allows you to ask someone who has been-there-done-that and has a genuine biblical faith and an open, productive, biblical marriage. The book promises a sit-down with Kathleen. If you are looking for witty prose or iambic pentameter, stick to Shakespeare. If your looking to weep with someone who has wept and can offer solace, this content is one of the best in its class.

HASH(0xa65191bc) out of 5 stars Touching Read Dec 10 2011

I thought that Kathleen's sharing of her own experiences of miscarriage and her relationship with her husband through it all were touching. Too few open the way for conversation in regard to the suffering that accompanies this grief. I hope that many are encouraged by this book.
HASH(0xa65194b0) out of 5 stars Marriages and Miscarriages review May 23 2012
By Julie - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
In Marriages and Miscarriages, Kathleen Smith bravely shares her experience with miscarriages with all of us. I loved how the introduction to this book was written by her husband. It was a nice touch that showed support for sharing their six children (three here and three up above) and their experience with others in an effort to show that it is possible to move forward and grow in love and peace after such a difficult time. Kathleen talks about how important talking with her husband was for her (and his) healing after their losses.

What I loved about this book was that Kathleen shared how important it was for her to talk to God, too. As much as one tries to talk to their spouse in an effort to share and receive support during such a hard time for both of them, there are times when it just doesn't work the best. Sometimes the other spouse just doesn't listen or put in the effort to show support. Partly because they don't understand and also because they are trying to figure out what to do with their own feelings. This book is a nice reminder that whether one is able to talk with their spouse or not that...they are not alone. God is with them, too. He is there to listen and guide. To carry you.

Well done, Kathleen. Thank you for sharing your angel babies with the world. Glad to have a resting place for your book on my nightstand.

This book is a refreshingly honest account of a real struggle. It takes away the veil of putting on heirs, and being "ok" because you're supposed to act like nothing is wrong. Kathleen Smith is true to her feelings in this very personal look into her stuggle with MORE THAN ONE MISCARRIAGE! She takes you through her stuggle, her feelings, the roller coaster of each passing day, and how she relied on her Lord to be able to communicate with her husband through a time that can ruin a marriage. I love the honesty, the self-revelation, and the fact that she takes you THROUGH, not just explains what happened and leaves you in the pit of despair wanting to run to the doctor for an anti-depressant Rx. She didn't just pull up her bootstraps and "get through" it either, she allowed herself to feel; to be honest with herself, her husband, and even to be a little angry with God at times...but she came through it!! If you are someone who has suffered a miscarriage, or two, or three...why haven't you read this yet?
