5.0 out of 5 stars The Very Best Everyday Microwave Cookbook! Sept. 5 2015
By trilingual1946 - Published on
Format: Paperback
This is the best everyday microwave cookbook I have ever found. The recipes are great, with just about anything you may crave (or similar enough to other standard recipes you love to easily adapt them to microwave cooking) and endless tips and techniques for getting the most out of your microwave. The only caveat is that the book was originally published when microwaves were a new phenomenon and lower-powered than today's mega-wattage ovens. As a result, you have two options: reduce the cooking times in the recipes to avoid overcooking or reduce the power to 70 - 80% to approximate the cooking power of the older microwaves.

I really wish the publisher would issue an updated edition with revised recipes showing the appropriate cooking times/powers for modern ovens.

I had a hard cover version of this book that was disintegrating from constant use, over many years. This new copy is to replace my old stand-by.I have loved the book for many years.
