The McCartneys have long been anti-meat, but it's not just about healthier and cruelty-free ― they also are concerned about climate change. When they set out to support this cookbook, though, they found that going meatless once a week had impacts on people's pocketbooks, as well. All of that may be true, but this collection of recipes is also excellent because the dishes are delicious ― 13 weeks' worth of three meals each, plus dessert, and they are vegetarian, not vegan, so there are eggs and cheese in many, organized by season.
