For the money this is a great product. It is easy to install, good basic instructions and I brought in 17 channels in Hamilton with the antenna just being about 5 ft higher than the eavestrough.

You could use a large 1 1/2" hard dowel for a mounting pole attached to something, but I used a 1 1/2" aluminum tube mounted to part of an old TV antenna tower and was pleased with the performance.

I would highly recommend for the money.

I a World of cheap, non-durable, Chinese junk in the HDTV antenna market, this is the best I've found in external antennas! Strong design that is easy to assemble and attaches securely to the mast. Solid proper waterproof coax connection point allows you to use proper RG6 coax drop.
But the best part, I am getting 76 crystal clear HDTV stations. My personal best from my last antenna was about 40 stations, and that was with the malfunctioning rotator and a integrated signal booster. I am about 46 miles to the closest tower, and this is WITHOUT an signal amplifier or any rotation device. Seems to have very good reception from even the stations that it is not directly pointed at! Some things to consider, I am in South Florida that is dead flat .

I have tried several TV antennas and this one works the best. While I am located less than 40 miles from all my local stations, all of them are 2Edge locations. In other words, the signals bounces twice on objects before I receive them. None of them are LOS/ line of sight. I have tried a few of the GE attic mount antennas and they are good too, but this one has been the best. YMMV.
