I have been following this diet, or better said; lifestyle, for quite a few years now as I am living in Spain. I feel great and energetic- this is my main lifestyle diet that I combine with the alkaline aproach. This diet is much more balanced and nutricious than a quick and unhealthy diet that many people from Northern Europe / North America generally follow.
The recipes were original. I never thought I could use cus-cus with fruits! Patrick also offers a great intro that is a great source of info for beginners.

Excellent cookbook about Mediterranean diet and lots of recipes. When I just started checking the table of contents, I immediately wanted to go to my kitchen and start cooking.

I liked that the book also includes FAQ section, tells about this diet benefits, and what should be in your kitchen (to make sure you'll have necessary ingredients for many of the provided recipes).

The recipes' directions are easy to understand and follow.

This book contains some unique recipes which is exciting when you have read as many recipe books as I have. If you are new to the Mediterranean diet you are going to love the fact you can eat such flavorful food and healthy fats. This is touted as one of the healthiest diet out there and for good reason. When your healthy food tastes as good as these recipes make it you want to eat more. Definitely worth checking out.

Mediterranean Cookbook is another excellent information recipe book by health and wellness guru Patrick Smith. I love the fact Smith details what this eating style is all about, and the benefits towards better overall health.
Understanding what you should eat and why is important when trying to establish better health choices.
I recommend you grab this book and get healthy! Bravo!

I purchased this book because I enjoy learning new recipes and I like to stay as healthy as possible, especially with an athletic husband. Not 24 hours after I bought the book, I found out that my sister and her young family were flying in for a surprise visit and I figured this was a great chance to try out some of these recipes, especially since my sister is a hard-core Mediterranean Food Fan! We all loved all of the recipes we tried (5 of them in 2 days!) and my nephews are HUGE fans of the Mediterranean Nachos!
