Fight off zombie hordes with friends in the first multiplayer game in the Neptunia series, MegaTagmension Blanc + Neptune VS Zombies for the PlayStation Vita system. It is a sequel to the high intensity hack 'n slash action game Neptunia U. Set in Gamicademi, Gamindustri’s academy for CPUs and CPU candidates, Blanc and friends must film a movie to save their school, fend off zombies, and look cute at the same time. Play with up to three friends in the multiplayer mode or, with two support characters to boost statuses in battle, tag team with another character, including new characters, Tamsoft and Uzume Tennouboshi, and familiar faces, Plutia, Peashy, Dengekiko, and Famitsu, to Nep up some zombies. Additionally, you can stylize characters with accessories like glasses, eye patches, and masks to make sure you look extra cute while slaying zombies.

I really like the big roster - gives me some incentive to mix and match. They have added in targeting which was missing in the previous game. I knocked the last one a bit for not having it but in retrospect it seems only useful for "human sized" bosses which this game doesn't seem to have but is very much present in their other games (Oneechanbara, Senran Kagura, etc.). There is also customization out of the wazoo so you can customize everyone and even take those over to multiplayer.
Multiplayer seems to be the biggest strength for this title as it is the only mode that seems to have some challenge to it. You have different sets of difficulties and missions and is a more worthwhile grind than single player. Plus you have access to everyone even if you have not unlocked them in story.
On the subject of single player, it is definitely the weakest part of this game - more so than U. Missions finish way to quick and have very little enemies and the big bosses I like are far too few in between. In addition, there is no way to choose difficulty for a particular mission which is strange because you can find this option in other Tamsoft titles. Instead it seems to scale up the difficulty with each story mission with certain spikes. In the end, single player seems to only be there so you can grind out some of the customization options for your characters.
If you're a fan of the series and like beat'em ups this game is for you. If you are only here for the beat'em up you won't find much value in the single player and I would recommend the Senran Kagura series instead (2: Deep crimson for 3DS and/or Estival Versus for PS4/Vita). If you have that same bizarre urge I have to collect fashion accessories and play a lot online then you'll find that here.
