Product Description

*** From USA Today Bestselling author MJ Fields***

From bedroom performances to center stage, Memphis Black’s dreams have come true.

Together with his band mates—Finn, River, and Billy B—he takes some time for fun in the sun in Miami while gathering inspiration to finish their first full-length album. Some down time before hitting the road to tour the country, spreading their kind of rock like an STD.

Tallia Priest, a preacher’s daughter grew up next door to Madison Black, her polar opposite and very best friend. Tallia has harbored a crush on Madison’s older brother Memphis for a lifetime.

A boy like him would never notice a girl like her, yet he did … once.

After a tough freshman year of college, Madison invites Tallia to join her in Miami for a much needed break. Madison fails to mention they will be staying with ‘Steel Total Destruction.’

When Tallia arrives, there is no way for a stunned Memphis to miss the transformation of the once awkward, innocent girl next door.

Forbidden desires must be hidden, lines cannot be blurred, and no one can ever know.

Will the heat in Miami tempt them even further? Will buried secrets destroy lives? Can a broken heart ever be mended?

It’s all fun and games until someone gets rocked.

Back in spring, I was introduced to Forever Steele - the Steele bother - and I fell in love. I fell in love with the family, with the bond of brotherhood.

I knew, when I started to read this book, that I would enjoy.

That being said, enjoy was definitely surpassed by POW!!

I loved Memphis Black, his band - appropriately named!! - and the chemistry between him and Tallia. The family dynamics between Memphis and his family and Memphis and his Steele family.

The unexpected twists and anguish that the characters go through are absolutely captivating.

I highly recommend that you not only read the whole brothers of Steele books, but grab a copy of Memphis Black and ROCK OUT!

**I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are my own and not influenced by my source.**

I was really excited for the opportunity to read this novel. Rock star focused New Adult novels were my favourite trend of 2015 and this one sounded perfect! Forbidden unrequited love and bad boy being tamed? Yes please!

Unfortunately, this book just didn't work for me. I wanted to see more interaction and falling in love between the two. I just didn't see why they liked each other besides physical attraction. A lot of it was implied, I felt, given their past. Which is fine, I just wanted it elaborated on a touch more.

I also didn't get the characters' thought process at time. I know it was used as a dramatic plot device but the logic or why they felt that way (and subsequently act like they do) was lost on me. It just made everything seem like a hot mess when it didn't need to be.

What I did like was that these rockers are exactly what you expect rockstars to be. Lots of women, lots of drugs and alcohol and bad attitudes. They aren't these secretly good guys with hearts of gold like other books project them. I just wish their character development was a little stronger.

I don't think I will be continuing with this series as I didn't connect with the other characters in the band.

Meet Memphis Black. The King of all rock star man-whores. Meet Talia Priest, the polar opposite of everything Memphis Black is. Even her name screams virtue and innocence. I wasn't quite sure how someone so innocent was going to end up with Memphis, but it totally worked. Sexy, intense and complicated, this book took twists and turns I could have never seen coming. I love it when a story takes me by surprise. I also learned some new vocabulary (these rockers have some strange slang terms) and I even got an education thanks to google and wikipedia thanks to them.
