King David's Harp, 16"x8", walnut frame with ash soundboard. 10 nylon strings for the biblical scale. Featuring DuPont hard nylon strings
SPECIAL NOTE ON STRINGS: There is no warranty on strings. Manufacturers recommend that you change the strings on your instrument as soon as you receive it. Your instrument has completed a long journey before it ever begins the final leg to your home. During this time the elements affect the strings and may shorten their lifespan. It occasionally happens that a string will fail during that final leg of the journey. Therefore, it is recommended that you purchase a replacement set of strings and consider changing your strings soon after it arrives. If you are a student you may want to change your strings every 3-4 months. If you are a rock star you may need to change your strings every week. If you store your instrument, you should consider changing the strings when you pick it up again.

The Mini Kinnor Harp by Mid-East arrived well packaged and appeared to have solid construction. I like that it comes with a case, extra strings, a tuning tool, and basic instructions on how to set up the bridge. When loosening the tuning pegs to insert the bridge, I noticed very subtle cracks in the wood along the tuning pegs (shown in picture). I also noticed that the back of the bridge had an indent in the wood (shown in picture). I inserted the bridge as directed and tightened the strings just so it would hold the bridge in place and it didn't seem to move, so hopefully the indent in the wood will not effect sound and tuning. The cracks did bother me though and I immediately repackaged it for a return. I will try ordering this harp one more time after the refund is processed because the other reviews are amazing, I just hope I get one that is not damaged.
Update as of 9-25-17:
New harp arrived and as usual, it was packed well and contained everything that was described. Unfortunately, I didn't even have to do a careful inspection before I saw the long crack down the front center, near the top of the instrument (shown in picture 3). The crack extended over the top corner towards the tuning pegs. The bridge was in decent condition this time, save a blemish in the wood that I'm sure wouldn't affect the sound or longevity of the instrument. Needless to say that I am done trying and will look to another seller for a harp. There are many good reviews and I may have just been unlucky but there is definitely a chance that you will get a damaged instrument.
I always loved the full size harp but am not musically inclined :-(
I bought this because I wanted to play a harp similar to David did and believed the 10 string would be easy enough.
I also liked that it was small enough to lay on my lap or to take with me if I were doing hospital visits.
I just play anything that comes to mind and let my thoughts go to wherever The Lord directs; it also helps me slow my brain down :-)
This product is made very well and has a nice feel.
I think I may eventually like a 22 string..
Anyway, here is that information, if that's what you're here to find!
From low to high (thickest to thinnest string):
C – C4
D – D4
E – E4
F – F4
G – G4
A – A4
B – B4
C – C5
D – D5
E – E5
As far as the instrument is concerned, it's beautiful, in great condition, has warm wonderful tone, and I am very happy with the purchase.
Although the first Kinnor came with a slight dent at the corner, the CS team is very supportive and resolved with a prompt replacement. Excellent service.
Pleasant to the eyes and ears, couldn't ask for more.
Now it's time to take her by the riverside and play something along the lines of Seikilos' or Shemer's...or perhaps...
Now I just need lots of practice so my playing is worthy of this instrument.
