Product Description

From the Back Cover

Tired of the same old tourist traps? Take the road less traveled and uncover the hidden attractions, unique finds, and unusual locales other guidebooks just don’t offer. Off the Beaten Path® features the things you’d want to see—if only you knew about them! From the best in local dining to quirky cultural tidbits, you’ll say over and over again: “I didn’t know that!”
Discover a different side of the Magnolia State. Purchase stone-ground cornmeal from the oldest continuously operating water mill in the United States at Sciple’s Water Mill; listen to first-class blues music at Margaret’s Blue Diamond Lounge in Clarksdale; or visit movie sets and props at the Canton Movie Museum. So if you’ve “been there, done that” one too many times, get off the main road and venture Off the Beaten Path.

This book is a good resource for anyone traveling to Mississippi especially for the first time. The book lists many little know areas of interest and gives information and history about many places. This book made our trip to Tunica an even better experience. We found that Mississippi is a very interesting State and we've gone back for our second visit !

Great book for locating places to go and things to do in Mississippi. I am a lifelong resident and there were many things in the book that I was not aware of. We have enjoyed finding and visiting the landmarks that are detailed in the book.

This book was both informative and helpful. I found interesting facts about Mississippi. Having my daughter just move to Mississippi, I anticipate visiting often. This book will allow me to know where to go.
