About the Author

Arina Tanemura began her manga career in 1996 when her short stories debuted in Ribon magazine. Tanemura gained fame with the 1997 publication of I•O•N, a high school romance with a supernatural twist. From 1998 to 2000, she worked on the popular series Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne, about a young girl who is the reincarnation of Joan of Arc, followed by Time Stranger Kyoko in 2000–2001 and Full Moon in 2002. Despite Tanemura's intentions to draw in a style that makes her stories difficult to animate, both Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne and Full Moon have been adapted into TV series.

You can probably tell from the cover that this not going to be a serious story. ^^; It's very cute and light, though. Short and straight to the point. I liked the story and characters. The artwork is very beautiful, as expected from Arina-san, and the book even includes a mini double-sided poster! I still gave it 4 stars because, well, it's not the BEST manga I've read since it's such a light and silly manga. Not bad, though!

I LOVE this manga soooo much. I wish there could be more! Possibly it's just because I love things relating to telekinesis and such... I mean if I could have super powers I would definitely want psychic abilities! So I loved that there was so much of that. It is my favourite of her books and I wish it was a larger series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good harmless fun June 30 2011
By ChibiNeko - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Tanemura is one of my guilty pleasure mangaka. Her work is almost always light & fluffy, almost like the book for of marshmallow fluff. Just like marshmallow fluff, it's best had in moderation & that's ultimately the best way I can think to describe this volume.

This is a one volume story & it's a good thing that it is. While the artwork is ultra adorable, the storyline is a little overly done as far as Tanemura's work goes. The characters are pretty much her stereotypical designs. There's really nothing new here, although the male character is a little more of a letch than I've seen in some of her other books. The story is fine enough but I really couldn't help but feel that there wasn't anything to really make it stand out.

Where the book really does well is with the secondary characters. I couldn't help but wish that the book had focused on them more, especially the leader of the group (Gunjo). The chapter focusing on him at the end was in my opinion, the best part of the book.

This might not be my favorite thing by Tanemura but it was still a lot of fun to read. It isn't going to be a "must buy" for everyone but it's something I definitely recommend checking out from the library. It'll be the perfect manga beach read.
4.0 out of 5 stars The story is just okay, but the artwork is beautiful. Nov. 20 2011

First of all I want to say that I LOVE Arina Tanemura's artwork. I'm currently reading Sakura Hime and love that series, but I hadn't read anything else by her until this book (though I've watched Full Moon and really loved it). I thought that this book was just okay. The plot wasn't all that interesting to me, but it wasn't horrible either. I got annoyed with Giniro for commenting on Kisaki's breasts all the time. I don't mind a bit of that, but it was mentioned too many times and became repetitive and not very funny. Also, I didn't see any reason for Kisaki to like Giniro. I know that there wasn't much time for character development since the story is short, but because of that I couldn't really get into the story or understand Kisaki's feelings.

So why am I giving this four stars? Well, there are a couple short extra stories at the end and I really enjoyed those. I thought the humor in them was funnier than the humor in the main story. They don't add anything important to the plot, but I think that's why I liked them since I didn't really enjoy the main story. Anyway, the other reason for four stars instead of three is the artwork! It's cute and super detailed.

So overall, if you're a Tanemura fan and need to complete a collection I don't think this book is a complete waste of money. Even though I didn't like the story, it wasn't a waste of time and was still a bit fun. But if you haven't read anything else by Tanemura you probably shouldn't start with this.

Main Story: 2.5 stars

5.0 out of 5 stars Adorible! Feb. 15 2011
By Cho Suki "the Drug dealer of anime" - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Being a HUGE Arina Tanemura fan, I was waiting for this manga to be released!! It's an adorible one shot story, and it's really funny too. This seems to be a staple in most of Tanemura-sans manga. This one, however, unlike some of her stories, does't have much, if any "smut". Personally I think this adds to the cuteness of it.
Of course, having said that, the main male lead is quite a pervert (hence the humor) and could probably take Chiaki on for the most perverted boy she has made. (Tanemura fans will know who I am talking about). So, dispite this shojos "cleaness" I wouldn't get it for anyone under age 13. :P
All in all, it's an awsome read! I give it five stars!! Definately worth the purchase!!
5.0 out of 5 stars Mistress Fortune: Great Story, a must-have! Jan. 23 2014

This is a cute love story with a happy plot twist. Even though it's 3 acts long, it still is a great story and great plot. Though many people are annoyed with Ginrio's remarks about Kisaki's size DD breasts, there's a side note that explains why he keeps saying that(a cute reason that spoils things if i say it here) if you actually read Arina Tanemura's side notes. Other than that, I like the other mini stories in it and the whole thing is great! A must have if you're an avid Arina Tanemura Fan or someone who loves a cute love story with a funny ending.
