My first stop was at a local boat dealership as they sold a unit like this mityvac but it's capacity was under 1L and it was more expensive. From asking around however, it seemed that it was also the unit the dealership was using in their own shop so I figured if it was good enough for them, it must be good enough for me as well. Plus it is less pricey than electric pump extractors. So I went on amazon and ordered this unit since, once again, it had a higher capacity for a lower price than the equivalent model at the dealership.
It turns out I made the right choice. The build quality is very solid and the base is stable enough. But best of all, it only took 10 minutes to get the nearly 4L of oil out of my jetski's crankcase. Effort is moderate so it may not be ideal if you are in poor physical shape but for anyone else it is perfectly fine. Just take your time. The included hoses should have you covered for any situations though their length means you'll either want an extension or you'll want to prop-up the evacuator on a sturdy flat stool or small table to compensate when trying to get to the bottom of the crankcase through the dipstick tube in a jetski that is on a trailer. But, that's more for convenience and it did not hamper the usability for my own need.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase as it turned a tedious task into a quick and easy one and will pay for itself quickly from the money save in labour and even time.
