Very good acting. The movie was not that suspenseful to me because I could not empathize with either of the sociopaths. Two bad guys face off in the desert. One has no regard for human life other than providing some sort of income for his survival. Opps, that pretty much describes both character's. Well, one is a murderer who kills more than one person with no remorse. There's the difference. The other only killed one person with no remorse. Frankly, if the ending would have been with both of them dying from a bullet to the head, it wouldn't have mattered to me...both were bad news. Maybe that's the point of the whole movie. Two baddies not one...

HASH(0xa5b19ae0) out of 5 stars Interesting Movie April 15 2016

I didn't know what to expect going into this movie, but I have to say, I was not expecting to be this impressed. The story is unique and keeps you interested. The acting is what really drives things. I had only seen Garrett Hedlund in Tron in which he played a pretty safe role. Here, you get to see him step into a more character driven role and display his acting skills. His serious acting was impressive. And, of course, Oscar Isaac is also a good actor and interesting to watch on screen. Overall good movie that will keep you guessing to the end.

HASH(0xa67248dc) out of 5 stars My Honest Opinion Feb. 21 2016

Well-acted and very entertaining. Not what I expected, but I enjoyed it very much. If you're looking for another impressive role from Oscar Isaac; this is a movie for you. It's not a masterpiece of a film but I thought it was structured in an interesting way. I recommend it.

HASH(0xb1ca1390) out of 5 stars Sharp, thoughtful dialog April 11 2016
By Saganite - Published on Amazon.com
I see the bad reviews and guess there is not accounting for taste, but I thought this was a brilliant little movie. I loved the sharp, intelligent dialog between the two main protagonists. It reminded me a little bit of a much, much darker Zero Effect, or a perhaps an early draft of a Quentin Tarantino flick. I can understand not personally liking this movie, for some of the reasons enumerated. For example, there really is no "good guy" to identify with or cheer for. It's basically neo-noire. And it is definitely NOT an intense chase movie. But as an abysmal, existential tale--I think it has a lot of merit.

HASH(0xa50da9d8) out of 5 stars Even For Free, I Was Ripped-Off. I Want My Time Back… March 25 2016

This movie is billed as, “An electrifying cat-and-mouse thriller…”. Whoever wrote this by-line has done us all an injustice. While capturing our attention, this person seriously misrepresents how bad this movie really is.

The plot is simple; two guys meet by chance in the desert. Neither likes the other. They drink a lot booze, smoke a lot of cigarettes, kill a bunch of innocence by-standers, terrorize a dog, all while chasing every other from the desert, through LA, and back into the desert, in an attempt to kill each other. Wednesday Thursday Friday; this movie makes no sense what so ever. It is actually a movie without a plot. While many B movies are truly bad, Mojave puts many of those bad B movies in the running for an Oscar. Nothing really happens in this movie, with the exception of the viewer wasting his/her time. There’s your movie summary.

There’s nothing electrifying about this movie, other the power coming out of my wall to operate my PC to view it. Thumbs way down. A true waste of money and film. Both of which could have been donated to an aspiring filmmaker to help him/her launch a career in the industry.
