Sky Gilbert is an accomplished author, actor, filmmaker, and drag queen. Born in Connecticut, Gilbert studied theatre at both York University and the University of Toronto before becoming the co-founder and artistic director of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in 1979. Format: Paperback
"The Mommiad" is one of the most beautiful books I have read in a long time. Gilbert's voice is haunting as he recounts his complicated relationship with his mother. Taking us on a magical carpert ride - Gilbert brilliantly weaves the memories of his mother - making us laugh and cry-
This book is a must read. It is that good.
