About the Author

Edric Mesmer was born in Buffalo, at the College of Geneseo, New York, the University Manchester (England), and the University at Buffalo. He currently serves as Poetry Cataloger to the University at Buffalo's renowned Poetry Collection. Prior to this appointment, he worked on the editorial staff of Scholastic Press, taught at Buffalo State College and D'Youville College, and worked in various bookshops. Currently he curates a series of talks for the Poetry Collection, entitled "The Center for Marginalia Presents." His poems and critical prose have appeared in journals and anthologies, including Infinity's Kitchen, Aufgabe, Landscapes (Australia), Vanitas, Galatea Resurrects, Cordite Review, St. Mark's Poetry Project Newsletter, and ON: Contemporary Practice. He has published three chapbooks: Faun for a noon, Yrtemmyys, and Intaking Water. Since 2006 he has been editor of the journal, Yellow Edenwald Field (expanded as Yellow Field in 2010), and of The Buffalo Ochre Papers, a series of small press monographs.
