DJs can put in some long hours as they spin the tunes and they need equipment that is both comfortable and rugged enough to withstand heavy use. These Monoprice Pro Headphones are designed for the professional sound spinner and the casual listener that wants the best quality sound and best durability available.
The earpieces on these 'phones are equipped with thick, comfortable padding that keeps the music inside and the noise outside. They swivel up to 90 degrees so they can double as a makeshift set of speakers. The headphones can extend up to 1.5" on each side and are wide enough to fit over a cap, while maintaining good contact over the ears. The headpiece is also padded on the inside and is made of flexible rubber, ensuring that it won't break.
The headsets do not have a fixed wire. Instead, there is a 3.5 mm jack in the bottom of the left earpiece, which allows a standard 3.5 mm audio patch cable to be inserted. This means that if you break a wire, you don't have to throw away the headphones or make a messy repair; just get a new cable and you're ready to rock again!
The 50 mm drivers and 100 dB sensitivity ensure that these 'phones produce good volume and premium sound clarity at all frequencies. The kit comes with two 3.5 mm male-to-male, gold-plated audio cables and a 3.5 mm to 1/4" gold-plated adapter plug.
The thicker cable is over 11.5 ft long and is well suited for professional work and for laying back on your couch to enjoy the tunes. A thinner, lightweight cable is also included, which measures about 50" in length and is better suited for more portable operations.
High-quality sound, supreme durability, and maximum comfort. These ARE the 'phones you've been looking for!

So far, they're still kicking and in fantastic shape. She loves them, I know that! Best gift ever!
Sound quality is very good for her needs (She's not super picky though, but it's not tinny or cheap-sounding), blocks out noise very well, and the ability to change audio cords as needed is priceless (The cord is the first to break with her, so replacing is easy!).
Very satisfied, and the price was great too!
I ordered two of these just based on the reviews for my little home studio. I opened the first box, which btw had great, simple packaging and easy to open, and plugged it right in to the studio board and was really impressed with the sound. Good bass, clarity and clear, clean stereo separation. The build quality is a bit light but with a little care, they should last for quite awhile. I love the fact the cord is detachable and for me personally serves a double duty as a cord for my electric violin that I've been looking for. Very comfortable and the padding for the top of your head is a nice touch.
I'll be buying two more of these as I'm very happy with these headphones. I highly recommend them.
The main problem with them is that the stock faux-leather ear cups (something I hate on any headphones, I much prefer cushioned foam in almost all cases) can become noticeably uncomfortable and can get sweaty after less than an hour, which isn't much. Plus the surface material start to crack after about two years, or they did for me at least. Luckily the Monoprice store offers replacement ear cups which I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND BY THE WAY. I bought a set a few months ago, and it was such a good decision. Aside from looking nice (I got the white ones, to match the cable I was using), they're polyurethane, and a considerably softer feel, which makes the headphones so much more comfortable and I can wear them for longer periods of time.
My current pair still runs great, with some occasional audio hiccups since the port where the cable connects into the headphones is starting to get a little bit loose it seems, but that's certainly not the fault of the headphones.Read more ›

Best bang for the buck. They sound excellent for the price and this is coming from someone that regularly uses a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M40x's.Published 5 days ago by Amazon_Customer
I guess these are as good as you can expect for the price.
The sound quality is good but they quite hurt my head and ears after a few hours of use. Read more
