Product Description

Ad exec Krista Martin, while feeling more Grinch than elf, still jumps at the chance to co-chair Marietta’s Secret Santa Society. Why not? Especially since brilliant, attractive, and innovative tech wunderkind Jonah Andrews has agreed to help. He's well connected and Krista's hoping for some advice on rebooting her career.

Jonah knows Krista has a not-so-hidden agenda, but sparring with her over cocoa at their Secret Santa meetings is the most fun he’s had since returning to his old hometown. Krista may come across as all business, but Jonah’s positive he’s glimpsed a little girl inside her who wants to believe in Santa... and in love.

As Krista and Jonah work on the Secret Santa Project, they find they're attracted to each other. Falling in love at Christmas is the best kind of story!

A sweet heart-felt story with a great message.

Krista Martin is forced into helping Marietta’s Secret Santa Society when her business partner ends up pregnant and is told by her doctor that she needs more rest. Krista wasn’t in the Christmas spirit this year but when she found out Jonah Andrews, Marietta’s own tech genius turned millionaire, was going to be co-chairing with her, she figured she might be able to get a little free business advice from him.

Jonah didn’t have volunteering in his plans when he returned to Marietta, he thought he was just going to house sit and take care of his parents dogs while they were away in Florida. But when he finds out the Secret Santa Society needs his help and fresh ideas, he decides why not. It is for a good cause after all.

Together Krista and Jonah come up with plans to help families in need and bring them some happiness during Christmas. They also find themselves falling in love even though they both know the holiday season is not a good time to begin a relationship.

The detailed writing about the main characters as well as catching up with characters from previous books, makes this book one not to be missed. Everything is written out so well, you can picture being there, sipping hot cocoa and reminiscing with old (and new) friends. The mischievous dogs were a fun addition to the story too.

Montana Secret Santa by Debra Salone was a very enjoyable read that really brought small town Marietta, Montana to life!

Krista has found a home in Marietta, starting her own business with her friend and being away from the drama of her family. Jonah is brilliant and rich. A Montana born boy who has moved on, he is only back for a brief time. Neither of them has the time or energy for a relationship, and neither of them actually wants one. From their first meeting an attraction is palpable, and soon they find themselves immersed in working for Marietta's Secret Santa Society. As they spend more time together, the season of giving, happiness, and hope starts to become so much more...but it can't possibly be a forever thing, or can it?

Montana Secret Santa is the story of Krista and Jonah. It is about them, with strong secondary characters and plots that enhance the main plot instead of distracting from it. Krista and Jonah may come from different worlds from each other and the reader, but I found them to be relatable, realistic and believable. For me they were like the people I might meet in a cafe or just down the street. I liked them, and I liked that real life feeling of the unexpected and the challenges they faced. I felt like I got to know them. As the story progresses, they both experience a lot of growth. I liked that they were mature characters, and there is a distinct lack of angst which resonates with their maturity.

Debra Salone writes an emotional, touching story in Montana Secret Santa, and I liked that all parts of their present day life pull together and bring these characters to life. Montana Secret Santa was a story that gave me not only a holiday feeling, but a variety of other emotions from hope, sadness, courage, caring and love.

I'd recommend Montana Secret Santa to any romance reader!

I received an obligation free copy from the publisher. This is my honest review.

I am loving all of these chocolate shop stories. This one lived up to my expectations as well.
Jonah and Krista end up working together when they were roped into helping the Secret Santa group in Marietta. I loved how well they complimented each other. They really worked great together. I also loved the dogs (Jonah was dog sitting for his parents while they were out of town) because those dogs added so much to the story as well.
This book really kick started my Christmas spirit this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars SANTA CAME EARLY LAST YEAR WITH THIS DELIGHT Feb. 20 2017

You know you are in for a good read when the first three words, in italics, are: Stilettos and snow? We quickly learn that our lady is not some clueless fashionata, but a business woman who needed her armor on to confront a business discussion that would affect her future. Good intentions gone straight to the crazy path of the unexpected, guided by 3, I want one of them, dogs and a leash handler to die for. Yeah, yeah - I get it that you all know these two are going to get together in the end, ah, but the journey is great, the story golden, and I ended up rereading it looking for quotes to share with you. Let me say, the possibility of re-reading a novel is my litmus test of a 5 star review. I enjoyed it as much the second time as I had 2 months ago. This is part of a Love at the Chocolate Shop group by various romance authors, and a part of the Marietta, Montana series BY Debra Salonen and well worth your time to explore. The Chocolate Shop makes a mean cup of hot chocolate, decadent enough to inspire our heroine to say, "It's hot sex in a cup. No regrets." Let me assure you there is no overt sex scenes, but the story doesn't suffer for it. Actually, it is more satisfying and a stronger story for it, always keeping the thrust (excuse me) of the story up front for the reader to enjoy. And these days it takes a darned good story teller to do that. Let me lay one last book quote on you. 'His tongue acted like an old friend back for a long conversation.' With a kiss like that, who needs more?
With a kiss described like that, what more do you need?

I love all the books based in this town and so far have read every one from every single author. Secret Santa was different from most of the books in the Love at the Chocolate Shop series for me anyways and that was a good thing. I loved the fact that LOVE was not staring you right there in your face and Debra Salonen had us looking the around just like Kristia and Jonah to see if love really does exist.
You do not have to read the other books in this series to understand this book at all but I highly recommend reading them as they are so good. IN fact i highly recommend any book that is based in Marietta, Montanta.

4.0 out of 5 stars Secret Santa Success Dec 27 2016

Krista Martin came to Marietta, Montana to work and to escape from the drama of her famous family. She's a business partner with her best friend in Big Sky Promotions. When Amanda can't continue as a volunteer Secret Santa, Krista takes her place and finds herself working with the attractive and brilliant Jonah Andrews. They are co-presidents working to save this program. Sparks fly as these two make wishes come true. The characters are good people that I quickly bonded with. They care for others and want to make the world a better place. I'm always happy to visit Marietta and to learn more about the people who live here. The Zabrinskis are a big part of the town. I liked getting to know more about this large, loving family. Montana Secret Santa is a feel good story that made me happy. Debra Salonen knows how to touch the reader's heart.
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice addition to series! Dec 1 2016

Krista owned Blue Sky Productions with her partner, Amanda. It was what brought her to Montana to begin with. Now Amanda was married and pregnant which left most of the responsibilities to Krista since Amanda has been ordered by her doctor to take it easy. Krista is also resigned to taking over Amanda's spot on the board of the town's Secret Santa charitable organization. This is where she sees Jonah every day at their morning meetings. Jonah is in town to dog sit his parents animals while they are in Florida helping Jonah's sister after the death of her husband.

Jonah is a technical genius. He just sold his very profitable business for a boatload of money. He's never been good with relationships, his last two were disasters, but he's still interested in Krista. He wants to know everything about her, including the fact her mother is a famous actress and her siblings tend to drive her crazy most of the time. In spite of his misgivings, however, Jonah gets involved.

Do the two of them have what it takes to make a relationship succeed or is it just wishful thinking on both their parts? Jonah's lab is in Silicon Valley while Krista is tied to her life in Montana. Will Jonah's obsession with work drive yet another woman away? If Krista isn't put off by Jonah's job does she seriously believe a long distance relationship is possible? Is she willing to take the risk!

Good love story, interesting characters, a nice addition to the series itself. Both Krista and Jonah appear to be doing well in spite of the fact he's trying not to read too much into this relationship. Because once the holiday is over, it's back to his regular routine, working to come up with his next money making project.
