From the Manufacturer
Motorola's MBP36 Digital Audio Baby Monitor will give you the reassurance that your child is resting peacefully. Equipped with 2.4GHz FHSS technology for sound clarity, you can feel comfortable your little one will come through loud and clear when they need you. A 3.5" LCD color display shows sound and video monitoring, with infrared night vision. Data encryption is built-in for added security. The MBP36 digital audio baby monitor has an impressive range of up to 200 meters with an out of range warning, allowing you to move around the house or yard comfortably, knowing you will hear when your little one is awake. The MBP36 Digital Audio Baby Monitor by Motorola is the perfect choice for any parent or caregiver.
2.4GHz FHSS Technology with Two-Way Communication
The 2.4GHz FHSS technology offers a more reliable wireless connection over previous cordless technologies such as 900MHz cordless antennas. That means better range and less chance of missing something important in your baby's room due to a weak or dropped signal.
The MBP36 also features two-way communication for being able to speak or sing to your baby remotely, or to communicate with a partner in the room.
Color LCD Screen with Infrared Night Vision
A full-color 3.5" LCD display shows real-time video and sound in your baby's room with up to 25 FPS video playback, letting you can keep informed of what's going on visually as well as audibly. Infrared night vision means you can stay in touch with what's going in your baby's room without any lights to disturb little sleepers.
Pan, Tilt, and Zoom
Control the MBP36's camera remotely to pan, tilt, and zoom the video image as needed.
Five Lullabies Built In
Lull your baby to sleep with one of five polyphonic lullabies programmed into the MBP36.
Data Encryption for Security
The Motorola MBP36 encrypts the audio data it transfers for added security and peace of mind.
5 LED Alerts for Sound-Activated Lights
Five LEDs on the MBP36 baby monitor indicate the level of sound activity in the room, letting you can keep informed of what's going on visually as well as audibly.
Room Temperature Monitor
The MBP36's transmitter is equipped with a room temperature sensor which is reported on the receiver's LCD display. You can ensure that it never gets too hot or too cold for your little one.
Up to 200M Range with "Out-of-Range" Warning
The superior wireless range of the MBP36 lets you keep connected to your baby up to 200 meters away. So even if you have a larger home, you don't have to give up safety or the ability to stay connected to your little one. An alarm sounds when you're getting out of range of the transmitting unit, so you'll never have to wonder if you're close enough to hear what's going on.

I found the Motorola monitor and decided to buy it. First, the shipping from Amazon was amazing. I chose free shipping and my order arrived in 36 hours. Second, the packaging was perfect. Third, I purchased the monitor with the additional camera, both on sale. I could not find it on sale at any other online retailer. I was thrilled!
Motorola has done a fantastic job. What a beautiful monitor with all the features a parent could ask for. The packaging was a pleasure to open, not having to rip the box or use scissors. The set up instructions were clear. The display is huge and I can see the whole crib. Picture and audio quality is great. The camera is super quiet when it moves and the green light is not as bright as previous monitors I've had. The temperature reading matches exactly the temperature reader I already had in the room.Read more ›
In any case, it's out of the 1 year manufacturers warranty so we're basically out a few hundred bucks. We're hoping to have a second kid, so I'm not exactly enthused about replacing it. It was supposed to last much longer.
That being said if you can accept the risk of it becoming a brick before your kid hits 2, it works really well. The colour monitor was excellent, the wireless function was great and the sound was really good. Despite having like 15 wireless devices and a swarm of wi-fi nearby, we never had range or interference problems, even between floors.
It was great while it lasted. We're totally bummed and frustrated without it, though.
Unfortunately our monitor decided to keep randomly switching off. When I googled this I seen this has happened to other people as well. I went to there website as directed and left an email and an email was sent back promising a call in 24 hours, never happened. My husband phoned and got through to a poor customer service representative she promised a new monitor within 48 hours never happened. Four days on we are still chasing up this monitor. We are now told it takes four days to be put in touch with the Canadian side of Motorola who will then deal with this. Absolutely furious at the moment. It takes soo long to get through to anyone at Motorola.
To sum up great product as long as nothing goes wrong with it. We will never purchase Motorola again.

My only complaint is that the monitor dies rather quickly. I have to leave it plugged in a lot. Other than that, I love it.Published 4 months ago by REBECCA BUNNY
