The charging port on my S3 went, and this was the best, and cheapest alternative to still use IG until I can afford go fix it.
Unfoetunately I got a faulty product (happens sometimes no matter what the purchase), so was a little bummed. (It still did the job, but not as well).
So I contacted them go see what options were available, and replies from them were every day. Although replies were slower than usual, which was stated in the ticket email I received stating they received my email, due to the holidays. And after about 3 days, they emailed me saying they've already shipped and sent a replacement, and didn't even need me to box and send back the other one (which is always a pain with replacements)
So all in all, very satisfied, and glad I got this product over the cheap knock offs from honf Kong for 3 bucks. 5 stars anker! Next, buying the better battery :b
Also I forgot, I ordered with amazon prime, and received my package is about 20 hours during the holiday season ! Blew my mind :b

UPDATE:
Not even 24 hours after I write my concert regarding the charger, the customer service from Anker contacted me and was very helpful. After explaining the condition to them, they concluded that the item they sent me was faulty and they will gladly send me a new one to try.

To my surprise, it arrives 4 days later in with expedited post. I was a little skeptical but when I tried it, IT WORKS PERFECTLY! :)

Now I can charge my phone AND my spare batteries at the same time.

Thank you Anker for the TOP NOTCH customer service.
Will definitely recommend this to my friends and family!

OLD REVIEW:
Own a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and had a back-up battery I need to charge every now and then. Saw this charger and was very excited. Pretty easy to use since you just need to connect + and - on the charger to your phone battery's.

DOWNSIDE: does not really charge when you plug it directly on the wall. Instead I need to use a regular phone charger to plug this Anker Multi-Purpose charger to the wall for it to charge.

It charges to full pretty fast when I put it the "wall-regular charger-Anker Multi-Purpose charger" set-up and all in all it works fine. But still disappointed at the fact that it not functioning like what a "wall charger" supposed to do which means that I can't charge my phone and my spare battery at the same time. I'm giving it 2 stars since this item does not really perform as what the name suggested and does not really solve my problem in charged two batteries simultaneously. :(

I got this charger as a gift which Anker advertises as a "cell phone battery charger." At first, I thought I would have no use for it. I don't need a spare battery for my mobile phone as I could directly re-charge it with an external battery pack that I always carry with me.

Soon, I discovered that its movable charging pins and adjustable dock made this little unit so versatile that it could actually charge the battery of my compact digital camera. Besides, it could draw power from a USB port. Voila, with an external battery pack, I have a truly portable charger for the battery of my camera.

Anker seems to be unaware that it has such a winner on hand, as I could find no reference of such use anywhere. As a vendor that boasts a full array of external battery packs, it's a little surprising that such perfect synergy of its products seems to have escaped it. It's ubiquitous for photography enthusiasts to carry a few spare batteries for their devices, but if they have a portable charger, they could save a lot on these expensive spares .

To be a truly useful portable charger for camera batteries, some improvements are needed. First, although it could charge the battery of my compact camera, it couldn't handle that of my other higher end camera that requires a charging voltage of 8.4 volts instead of 4.2 volts. So, being able to handle dual charging voltages is essential.

Second, the optimal charging current for a Lithium Ion battery is 0.5C to 1.0C, i.e. from half to full rating of the battery itself. Say, if the battery is rated at 1400 mAh, the ideal charging current is from 700 mA to 1400mA. At this rate, the battery could be fully charged within one and half to two and half hours.

When my cell phone stopped charging the first time I sent it out for repair. Sixty dollars and a fair bit of time later it worked. For a few months. When it happened again I came up with a better idea. Instead of paying to have it fixed, why not simply charge the battery outside of the phone? Now this poses a dilemma. Who wants to buy a charger for a phone that they may end up replacing with a newer model? It stands to reason that there should be a better solution. Enter the Anker Multi-purpose Universal Wall Charger. I ordered this bad boy and when it arrived I was thrilled to find that it not only was capable of charging my battery, it could also be powered by USB and act as a charger for a phone that has a working USB charging port. The moving charging points mean I can use it for years to come as I upgrade my phones. Added bonus? I can use this for my company-issued Blackberry too! A win-win-win. I win, I win, and I win again.
