The amount of `In the Text' work he did is a bit intimidating, but very useful. Unlike his original audiences, I had the opportunity to be taught by him in class while digging deeper in Paul's letter to Galatia. I was astonished every day in class by the amount of knowledge he had regarding this specific letter. There would be times when he would go off on a tangent. He would pull different information and passages in order to help us grasp exactly what Paul was saying. I say this, because you can count on getting what you paid for. I did when I bought his book and took his class.
Dr. Lyons has done a great job on his end to make sure his readers are prepared with amounts of information about Galatians. There is no way I would ever sell or give away this commentary. When faced with questions, this commentary is the first reference I would ever look at. Each chapter will discuss behind the text, in the text, and from the text. These help the interpreter gain knowledge before reading the passage, during and after. I highly recommend Dr. Lyons commentary on Galatians to anyone.
