"Rohr is enriched by other world religious traditions, but clearly knows his own. Those interested in contemplative Christianity, and particularly Catholics interested in their own tradition, will benefit from this book."  —Publishers Weekly

This is one of my favourite books, as well as one of my most recommended. This book played a critical role in my spiritual journey and life as it provided a reconciliation between what religion has brought into my life and where my spiritual journey was taking me. I had a lot of questions and this brought a tremendous amount of peace and provided the connections I was looking for.

I really appreciate Richard's background in the Catholic church as the source for this wisdom.

Only drawback is the title. Many of my more strict Christian friends, who I firmly belive would love and appreciate this book, are thrown and turned off by the word "mystic", and therefore choose not to read it.

Simone Weil was a true seeker and "The naked Now" would most likely have answered

many of her questions.

After reading Richard Rohr one simply says: "How could I have gone through life

without anyone teaching me this ?"
