Online I find many people use this to handle jet lag, or moving from night to day work shifts.
For me, I tend to wake up for work quite early, but being in my late twenties, I find myself out and about quite late on weekends. This means my weekends throw off my sleeping patterns for the week and getting a good amount of sleep to be productive Monday morning is quite difficult. Enter Melatonin.
Instead of tossing and turning for a hours Sunday night because I woke up so late that morning, I crawl into bed, take a Melatonin and fall asleep quite quickly. Additionally, I find my overall sleep quality is much better. I'll usually take it Monday night as well and by Tuesday I'm back to a regular sleep schedule.
I also wear a Fitbit that tracks my sleep quality every night. There is a notable difference in the quality of my sleep with Melatonin versus no Melatonin. With Melatonin, I toss and turn much less and get much better sleep quality. So while Melatonin helps me get to sleep, it's primary bonus is BETTER sleep.
While I don't believe taking Melatonin every single night is the greatest idea, taking it here and there to return you to your normal sleeping patterns has helped me quite a bit. I highly recommend it.
Other than that I did notice that I get more drowsy 30-45 mins after taking which puts me to sleep quickly.
Maybe it's the dosage that's messing me up but thought I would mention it in case anyone else has this issue.
This is an interesting form of the pill. You place under your tongue for 1 minute and then swallow.
So far I've not had any kind of adverse reaction to the product and have found the product quality to be consistent. When used with a couple of other supplements this works far better than prescription meds in that there is no nasty after effect such as memory loss or fuzzy brain syndrome that always comes with prescription sleeping pills.
Fortunately I don’t need them every day, only when I need to reset my circadian rhythm, maybe four or five nights a month. This is typically when I have had to stay up late to finish off a project or needed to extend a development shift.
Using the tablets is easy, slip one under the tongue and let it dissolve so that the melatonin is quickly absorbed through the membrane within the mouth. This avoids it going into the stomach which increases the time it would take before becoming effective. Stomach acid also has an effect on melatonin and can reduce its ability to help you.
The 3mg melatonin content is all that’s needed, taking more doesn’t help you go to sleep faster or sleep better and it does in fact cause problems. Taking two or more of these does not mean that you'll fall asleep faster or sleep better. Too much melatonin can create problems. If you’re unsure about how much to take or whether you should be taking it at all I can only suggest the advice of a holistic practitioner who can test and determine if this is right for you. Unfortunately your GP most likely isn’t trained in this area, hence the suggestion so see a holistic specialist. If your GP does know about the benefits and limitations of a supplement like this, you've got a good find.

SAV Amazon efficace.
This one did not help me. I bought one at the store of a different brand and it helped like magic. I'm starting to think it's counterfeit or something. I don't know.
