Product Description

My name is Reagan Wilcox: high school senior by day, kick-ass investigative journalist by night. I’ve always loved observing people—especially when they think no one is paying attention.
I thought I was ready to cover any story. Work any angle.
Nothing could have prepared me for what happened that night. I wasn’t ready for what I saw. And I certainly wasn’t ready for him.
I always knew I’d write the headlines. Now, I just might become one.

About the Author

Sarah started her obsession with reading at an early age, often sneaking BabySitter Club and Nancy Drew books into math class. She would read any book she could get her hands on. Her love of reading quickly evolved into a love of writing and stories began to pour out of her. She grew up in Pittsburgh, graduated from The University of Pittsburgh with a degree in English, and taught eighth graders to love reading as much as she does for several years. Sarah will always be a proud member of the Steelers' Nation, but couldn't take the cold and moved her frozen tush to Florida where she now lives with her husband, daughter, and two cats. You will find her now with her trusty Kindle in hand and toes in the sand! Sarah's debut novel, AWAKEN, released in January, 2012. Other novels include AVENGE, ATONE, ECHO OF AN EARTH ANGEL, INHALE EXHALE, and NEVER GONNA TELL (Releasing March, 2015). Website- Facebook- Twitter-!/SarahtheAuthor Instagram-

Sarah M. Ross' novel "Never Gonna Tell" entertains the reader with a believable story with suspense, romance and reality. The reality includes dealing with issues faced by teens today. As an upcoming reporter, Reagan founds that small town life is just as interesting as the big city with crime and corruption.

It's refreshing to read about Reagan who is a strong-minded female protagonist. This YA novel keeps us captivated as layers with Marcos family are uncovered; Reagan must deal with her loyalty to him or take action which would legally be the right thing to do.

Overall, the story is well-written with enough nail biting moments to make it very enjoyable.

HASH(0xa6b3215c) out of 5 stars Loved Reagan! March 17 2015
By DesertReader - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This book was a pleasant surprise for me. It was the first book I have read by Sarah M. Ross, but it definitely will not be my last. I began knowing only it was YA Suspense but was immediately lured into the story. The book is told in first person POV with the heroine, Reagan Wilcox as narrator. The Prologue is intriguing, as Reagan is the middle of a dangerous situation. I had no idea how she arrived, nor how she was going to get herself out of the predicament.

I'm going to die tonight. I'm sure of that now. All because I made a vow I was never gonna tell.

After the brief opening, the book backtracks to reveal all the events leading up to the Prologue. Reagan is a snarky but lovable high school senior. She is an investigative journalist on the side and trying to revive the school newspaper. She is somewhat of an outcast and doesn't really fit into her high school in small town Tennessee. She has a trusty sidekick of a best friend/foster brother, Charlie. I loved their connection immediately and found their banter to be endearing. She is also attracted to the school bad boy, Marco Calotta, who doesn't seem to notice her existent. She and Marco lives are thrown into complete upheaval when they become involved in a story she is investigating. Despite the suspense element, there is a an intense connection with Reagan and Marco. I was swept up in their storyline even more than the mystery.

Staring up a him, I totally get why girls go for the bad boy now.

While not all the events are completely realistic, I still enjoyed this book immensely. Reagan has many characteristics of a Veronica Mars like person. She is witty and funny, without trying to be so. The entire book flowed well and was interesting from the first pages until the last. I was able to read it in one setting. I enjoyed the relationship with Reagan and her parents in addition to those with Marco and Charlie. It is refreshing to see a young strong heroine, who wants to help save people. Happily, the book has a complete ending and an epilogue. However, I certainly would not mind reading more adventures involving Reagan in the future. I have a feeling she'll once again find herself with another mystery to unearth. I recommend this book to any mature YA fan looking for a little suspense and romance.

HASH(0xa6b321b0) out of 5 stars Suspense! Mystery! Danger! LOVE! March 17 2015
By Elle Wilson - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Never Gonna Tell by Sarah M. Ross is thrilling and edgy. The action doesn't stop until the story is over, and you'll be entranced from start to finish. This was the perfect read to clean my reading palate because it was refreshingly unlike the typical books I read.

Reagan Wilcox is a high school senior with a passion for investigative journalism. She's like a modern day Veronica Mars. Did I mention that I LOVE Veronica Mars and instantly fell in love with this witty heroine. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty in order to get the scoop. Reagan has easily blended in to her daily life, but loves the anonymity. She's sharp and intuitive but also had a side that is devoted and loyal to her friends and family.

While investigating her latest hunch, she stumbles into a shocking situation and suddenly finds herself at the center of danger. I can't reveal the goodies of this plot without divulging spoilers but I will say this -- there's a boy, a bad guy (or two), and an overload of suspense that will make your heart race. If you're looking for a suspenseful read that has just the right amount of romance, get swept away in Never Gonna Tell by Sarah M. Ross.

HASH(0xa6b325e8) out of 5 stars Good Ya suspense March 17 2015

This was a well-written, fast paced suspense book that was full of twists and turns and it kept me engaged and reading to the very end, in one sitting.
Reagan is a shy and quiet girl, who blends in and rarely gets noticed. She's a people watcher and this makes her good at getting the story for the school paper. She just moved to a new school and the student body is full of stories, but those aren't the kind that interest her, especially when she's trying to get the newspaper up and running again by publishing articles anonymously.
Here she meets Marco, long haired, trouble making bad boy. Whose families reputation precedes him but he manages to make trouble all on his own. The sarcastic banter between these two was great!!
One night Reagan witnesses a crime. This could be "THE STORY" break she needs but writing it will put her and her family's safety in jeopardy.
Will Marco be able to protect her, from his own family.

I didn't like the idea of high schoolers reading Fifty but I'm sure it's true to life.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for review. I couldn't put this book down. I was there step by step with Reagan on this amazing thrill ride. It was a combination of all my favorites, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys and Vernoica Mars all rolled into one. You will not be disappointed with this read.

HASH(0xa6b32a8c) out of 5 stars 4.5 “You…intrigue me.” stars! April 3 2015
By Jennifer L - Book Btches Blog - Published on

Never Gonna Tell was not one of my usual reads, but I very much enjoyed it!!! If you are a follower of mine, you know that I love romance, heat, drama, alpha men, and mystery. And this story has a couple of those things…romance and mystery. High school age characters and the talk of the mob drew me in when I was offered this ARC. To me, that was a very interesting mix. Plus, I have read Sarah’s writing before, and loved it 

“There are two things every student here at Jefferson High learns their first week: first, the “meat delight” on Fridays is just a mashed-up mix of
whatever was left from Taco Tuesday and Hamburger Thursdays, and second, don’t mess with Marco Calotta.”

This story revolves around Raegan and Marco. Raegan being the student who likes to stay unknown, and Marco being the student that everyone is afraid of. Interesting mix, huh?!? There’s your romance aspect. And since these characters are only high school seniors, we have a small amount of heat, but not overdone. I actually thought it was perfect!! I could feel the attraction between the two, without it being overdone and unrealistic.

“This school was like a journalist’s wet dream.”

Now, back to the mystery part of it. Raegan aspires to be a journalist and is looking for the perfect story, when the perfect story finds her. But, it also could be the end of her!! All I have to say about that, is she is one tough cookie!!! The girl knows what she wants and she fights for it. I loved her spunk!! And I loved her friends. They weren’t the popular crowd but they were true to themselves and protective of each other.

“I have so many more important things to focus on: Charlie coming home, not flunking calculus, not getting whacked and ending up at the bottom of the river.”

I gotta say, I was skeptical at first when we were mixing high schoolers and mob activity, but the author did a great job with this story. It had the right amount of detail for me to get a good picture in my head, of the scenes, plus it flowed smoothly and at a quick enough pace that I didn’t get bored.

Even though this is not my usual read, I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend you all give it a try :) 
