And one of the best things about this anthology? THE VARIATION!
Allow me to elaborate:
One of my biggest qualms with most erotica anthologies today is that once you get past the first few stories, sometimes the sexy bits seem to get a little routine. You'll pick up a book, and the first story is great. Second, third, and fourth ones, too. But then, once you get to the fifth, you start thinking, "Hmm... well... that's -good-, but it's a lot like the last few..." Then you sort of lose interest and put it down.
Nice Girls, Naughty Sex? Not going to happen. You won't even want to put it down long enough to go to sleep at night. (Of course, once you lie down and start reading, sleep will most likely no longer be on the agenda. ;-]) Even the stories within each similar section are wonderfully diverse, filled with entirely different characters, settings, scenarios, and - of course - the yummy bits. Each story is a brand new flavor for the reader to savor.
Whether it is the witty style of Rachel Kramer Bussel in "Blow Me", the intensely hardcore action of Emily Croy's "Dirty Cop Doesn't Mean What It Used To", or the heart-wrenching intimacy of Sommer Marsden's tale of love and pain in "A Technicality", Nice Girls, Naughty Sex is going to have exactly what every reader is looking for... and then some!
And I'm sorry, Amazon, but I think the resell factor on this book is going to be lousy... because once someone has read it, she is -not- going to want to give it up! In my case, it is one of those books that is always going to be no more than an arm's length away from my pillow. You know the kind, Ladies. Crinkled pages, broken spine, and a worn cover that won't stay firmly shut because it's always flopping open to the most frequently read pages. ;-]
As always, Jordan and Samantha, you've delivered us another five star, erotic masterpiece, and on behalf of women across the globe, I just want to say THANK YOU!!
There are absolutely no fillers here, folks! Jordan and Samantha pooled a first-rate assortment of talented writers for this collaboration. Each story is a cleverly orchestrated standalone which should be labeled a fire hazard. I thoroughly adored each story however "Corset" by Kay Jaybee and "Blow Me" by Rachel Kramer Bussel tickled my funny bone in places. I like my erotica a little cheeky. Then there's Sienna Conroy and Valerie Lewis - I could go on forever.
"Nice Girls, Naughty Sex" has my stamp of approval! It would make an excellent summer read. Utterly combustible.
It's chaptered into four sections;
This allows you to have a dip in to the book with ease, where-ever the mood takes you.
The opening story by Sommer Marsden is so beautifully written and well placed at the beginning of the book. It's kindness towards a difficult subject really set me up for the quality of writing to come.
And I wasn't disappointed. Each story held something new They were all well written and provoked a variety of emotions in me (from a sweet outwards smile to having to duck my hands under the covers).
The Licorice Whips chapter was perhaps a touch tame, though that may just be because of the utter filth I'm use to reading these days. The Oysters chapter on the other hand was just right. There's always a tendency to over-do the whole lesbian thing but the stories included here were simply beautiful and just happened to involve two - or more - women. My favourite within this chapter is definitely Phoenix, by Valerie Lewis. I'm not going to ruin it for you by spilling my bean, just know that it put me in a wonderful mood for the rest of the day.
I also really enjoyed the different fetishes included in Dirty Martini, from pet play to a whole heap of uniformed men pleasuring one lucky lady, I saved this chapter for just before bed and it inspired some very colourful dreams!
In conclusion, every story in Nice Girls, NAUGHTY SEX touched me in some way. They are all original to each other and yet the way the book is composed allows each to flow perfectly into the next, proving Jordan and Samantha's strong editing skills.
I've been a fan of the Oysters and Chocolate website for a long time now. They showcase some incredibly hot erotica stories and art work (including my own er-hum). This is my first read of their work and it has made me want to delve straight in to another... Thank you Ladies! -x-
Do yourself a favor and buy 2 copies - one for you and one for a friend. You will not be disappointed.
