This book gives a great history of everything that transpired the hundred years leading up to world war l. It is extremely educational and a must read for those interested in the politics and intrigue that swept through Europe in the 1800's.

HASH(0x9d4da5dc) out of 5 stars The Russian and Turkish inhumanity March 15 2015

Chronic wars, incompetent generals, out of touch leaders, all covered in typical 19th century Europe.
A period of time not always covered in history classes. The Ottoman Empire and it's persecution of the
Christians for hundreds of years was enlightening.

Interestion subject matter but the structure in very hard to follow. One idea does not follow another.
