At first is was a bit of trouble, unfortunatly there is no documentation or steps on how to get this RAM running at 1600, by default it will run at 1066, this running on the Intel DX58S0 motherboard chipset Extreme Series, like there was no docs on the memory nor motherboard I didnt know how to Overclock it to 1600, the default Volts on the motherboard will use 1.5, so it wont go to 1600, I upgraded the MB BIOS, and then I saw the XMP Profile, I soon I selected one, It worked great it went to 1600, It has a profile 2 profiles, XMP1 that goes to 1600 and XMP2 goes to 1800, the intel board supports 1600, so I did not even try to go up to 1800, So its not hard at all to get this up and running. I recommend this product.
HASH(0xa7983030) out of 5 stars Acceptable performance, but not better than the Corsair I was replacing Sept. 16 2009

I bought this memory for one reason only-- to try to get some better performance while maintaining a stable system. I use this with the Intel X58SO board, and I had been using corsair TR3X6G1600C8D memory. This is definitely cheaper, but didn't perform any better. I thought because this memory was prequalified for an additional XMP profile that it might perform a little better, but the second XMP profile it had that Corsair didn't caused my system to be unstable.

The memory is fine and acceptable for use, but don't expect it to perform better than the Corsair I mentioned.

Recieved memory and installed according to instructions, One chip of three didn't appear to be working. Did the usual swap to find which one , found a bad one. Before OCZ would issue an RMA they asked me to increase voltage on the memory. Didn't help. got an RMA, OCZ requires all three chips as they are made as sets. One week, still no memory, no
computer. Better luck to you.
HASH(0xa798306c) out of 5 stars 2x each in 3 workstations for 4+ months and all is well May 20 2010

I built three workstations used for running virtual machines and simulations in a research lab and each has 2 of these kits in them for 12 GB per workstation total. The workstations have been running for 4+ months straight without a hiccup. Great RAM, very stable. Hardest part was finding enough of the kits to buy (they were limited to 2 per customer for a while).
