Phone was great. I didn't care for the LED flash and at times the pictures could be better but overall the phone seemed to live up to the hype. The 3 GB RAM, the 64 GB storage, the quad-core snapdragon processor and the Cyanogen OS (Android KitKat 4.4.4) where all nicely packaged. I did wish battery performance was better but as long as it lasted a day I would tolerate it.
At times I felt the battery would drain too fast but that was when doing a lot of gaming or movie watching or combo of both.
My issue just popped up suddenly - screen froze. Wouldn't respond to touch and the back button, home button, app button (soft keys) didn't respond either. Power button did. So I let it "sleep" then clicked the power button to "wake" it but no change. So I decided to just reboot. Phone turned off and stayed off. No matter what I tried, nothing worked. Support will have you try things you already did - even if you state in your emails to them "I did A, B and C" they'll respond "Try A" and start from their script. Even after I sent a video (they requested) showing a phone that does not charge, does not turn on, does not boot into fastboot/recovery they sent me a zip file to "flash" the phone and of course the instructions read "start your phone in recovery mode". Guess they don't bother to read what you are telling them you have already tried.
I really wanted this phone to succeed because I think phone prices are way too high. But looks like another poorly made product.
Update: I did receive a replacement from OnePlus and it has lasted. I've updated my rating based on the durability of my replacement. If customer support was better this would be 5 stars easy. I keep up with their products and they release decent handsets. The OP3 is coming soon and they recently released Oxygen OS 3. They seem to be active and hopefully improving.
This phone will work on all GSM networks - I am using it on T-mobile and it works great - except you do lose Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE (this is true of ANY non T-mobile branded phones, so is not just this phone). You get super fast LTE speeds wherever the service is available. Using it on AT&T is even better, as all features of the AT&T network should be compatible with this phone.
Difficulties in getting invite has hampered sales of this phone, it is a pain but possible to get invite from their site, or if you can't wait, just buy it from Amazon!
The only complaint I have is that flash pictures often have a blue tinge.
Get this phone, you won't be sorry
