Worked great in a tight space. The swivel on the screw end really helps when you don't have space to line the tool up perfectly. Don't buy one of these tools if it doesn't have the swivel on the bolt end!

I just got this in this afternoon and tried it out on the tie rod ends of my 71 Triumph TR 6. I read all the reviews and paid heed. Used anti- seize compound on the bolt and ran it all the way through the length of it. Put the tool on the car and used the cast in pad on the back of the tool to kiss the tool in place with a several pound drilling hammer. I used a 1/2" drive, 3/4" impact socket to spin the bolt. I didn't have to use the impact wrench as the joints popped off with just a ratchet handle. I am going to replace the tie rod ends as well as the rack and pinion assembly so I didn't care about the threads on the ends. I took the nut off one side and those threads seemed to be messed up a little but probably nothing a small triangular file couldn't fix or maybe a wire brush so something. The other end I left the nut on and it also came off quickly and the threads seemed better. There was plenty of room in either case. I have avoided front end work for more than 45 years so this was a very interesting experience. If anyone needs some measurements I can do that, it is late and I can't sleep but I don't want to go down to the garage to measure it. It is a heavy well built tool and if it fits you can't go wrong with this.

Tool unfortunately broke its first use. Made in Taiwan makes you wonder? Ended up just using a pickle fork to get the job done but was hoping not to damage the dust boot with using this tool, oh well sent it back.

This thing worked for my 2001 BMW 540i center tie rod removal. I did have to figure out how to seat it properly as the center tie rod location makes the seating of this tool tough but is not this tool's fault, is BMW's fault. Once I had it seated on the center tie rod ball joint, there are two, I just tighten it slowly and bam the ball joint popped out and then I repeated for the second ball joint. This is a much cheaper option vs. the $300 BMW specialty tool for the center tie rod ball joints.

This tool saves quite a bit of frustration. After fighting to remove the tie rod end on one side of the vehicle I decided to give this a try on the other side of the vehicle and it took just a few minutes. As another reviewer suggested, when setting it up, tap the top lip with a hammer to ensure that it seats completely. This is because the lip (open end) if very short. I also tapped it in after a couple of turns to be sure there was no slippage during turning.

While you may never use this tool again, think about the time and frustration you save yourself by having the right tool for the job.
