Top Customer Reviews

Format: Paperback
Old Stones: The Biography Of A Family by A. s. Penne is the "creative nonfiction" story of a family shaped by hard times, change, war, and the courage to begin a new life. The tale of a young war bride who dared to follow her amputee husband into an uncertain future, and the emotions and experiences of their daughter's exploration of the mementos of history and remembrances of personal toil make for a powerful and captivating story that resonates on multiple levels. Old Stones is literate, original, entertaining, emotionally rewarding, deftly written, and highly recommended reading.
