Product Description

Ashland Peters is a Detective with the New York Police Department. She is sent to a training class at the Meadowland Lodge in Colorado where her childhood friend Werewolf Nash Porters lives and works along with his pack. They’ve been friends since they were six years old and sent to the same orphanage. When they were old enough to leave on their own, Nash received what he had wanted his whole life and Ashland went to follow a dream. Separated for years by distance they finally get the chance to see each other when she is sent to Colorado for training.

Once Ash arrives, she meets sexy werewolf Alpha Larken Wilder who owns the Meadowland Lodge. From the moment Larken sees Ash, he knows she is his mate. However, problems seem to follow Ash and it turns out no different in Colorado, when the Sheriff has a problem with his brother’s mate. It’s the Alpha’s only chance for happiness, but Ash doesn’t know if she is right for the man, she doesn’t want to come between him and his brother.

When young girls are kidnapped from the neighboring packs, Ash’s help is needed. Ash finds herself working with not one Alpha but with a team of them, if they are to save the young girls from a Rogue wolf and his pack. As they solve the mystery, Ash finds answers to questions she’s had her whole life.

About the Author

Bryce is a mother, a writer, and a wife who loves to escape to the world she built in the Ashland Pack. She burst onto the publishing scene with a hit in The Trinity. She loves writing and talking to people who have the same tastes as she does. I'm a wife to a great hubby and mother to three beautiful children. I love to read books and write about places that come together in my head. I try to write about what I know and usually you will find some law enforcement in my books. I write about strong characters that I want to see succeed in life. I always write a happy ending. I have to guys. I put a lot of tragedy in my books and then give them the much- needed break they need to be successful. I would love to hear from you. Contact me at: or on Twitter: Bryce__Evans or on Facebook:

Glad this only cost me a dollar, but even that's too much. Clearly the author needs an editor, but I could have gotten past that if the story was worthwhile. To say that this is far fetched and utterly ridiculous is an understatement! The heroine is implausibly brilliant, professionally, yet also a waffling, immature, moron, emotionally. Seriously, this is the dumbest shifter story I have ever read, and I've read a lot of them.

HASH(0x9cdcdd74) out of 5 stars Not recommended. At all. June 30 2014

It felt as though I was reading someones first attempt at writing, and as such, should have been a .99 cent book.
The characters all spoke without contractions. Kind of like when you're in high school and you need to have a certain number of pages written to get credit. People just don't talk that way.
The sex scenes were the same throughout the book, even so much as to use the EXACT same wording.
As to the rest of the story, well, there was just no flow to the writing. Example...

"Ash smiled at Kammy, and went and put her arm around her, turning her away from Lex. Pelton came closer to Kammy, staring at her. Kammy looked up at him and smiled. Pelton immediately felt a connection toward Kammy. Jonas walked over and put his arm around Kammy. "Lets go slugger". Jonas pulled Kammy away from Pelton. walking her back through the trees. Everybody started walking back toward the vehicles. Pelton never moved but stared at Kammy as she walked away."

See what I mean! A LOT of the book was like this. And Kammy wasn't even the main character. At first it was Ash this, and Nash that... I kept getting them confused. Please use names that are a little more different than Ash and Nash. And then Larken and Larsen. It just felt silly.
The only way to get through this inane book was to just skim through most of it. She doesn't go very deep into the characters and the story ended up being boring.
I wouldn't have written this review if it had only cost me a buck, but I'M MAD.
I want my money back.
Save yours!

HASH(0x9cdcdfc0) out of 5 stars A little editing goes a looong way. Dec 23 2014

My biggest problem with this book can be summed up in two words. Want/won't. These are NOT interchangeable. EVER. I don't believe won't was used even once in this book, want was used in it place. I still gave it three stars because the story itself was quite interesting, with the question of 'what is Ashland?' taking a long time to answer. While I wanted to know immediately, I also understand how a slow build can make things that much better. Other than the many, many grammar mistakes, I have to say I felt Ashland was pretty immature for a 29 year old woman that had been through as much as she has and to have the profession she does.

Will I recommend this to friends? Not without a warning about the grammar issues, and misuse of certain words. But if someone can look past those, and would like a very interesting take on a couple supernatural groups, and also doesn't have an issue with a committed threesome, then this might be the book for them. I did enjoy it somewhat, but the issues I mentioned brought it down in my estimation quite a bit.

HASH(0x9cdce2f4) out of 5 stars written by a 4th grade student Dec 8 2014

Actually, that's an insult to the 4th grader.
The story wouldn't be half as bad if the writer could keep to 3rd person, could write a sentence with correct punctuation, and had someone proof read. Then found a mature person to take the teen age angst out. Adults worrying about their looks and crying in each other's arms gets old fast. Pounding in the predestined guilt trip and so on was bad. Unfortunately, the story started out strong enough that you didn't get this until after you wasted your money on reading the first chapter. Then it really went downhill.
