HASH(0xa01d3684) out of 5 stars I loved this book April 7 2015

I loved this book!!
Rory's world is turned upside down, and she finds herself back in the town of Mount Pleasant. The town she desperately needed to escape as a teenager. She meets up with a man named CJ who has also ran from his teenage years. Each have their own things to overcome. Each want the same things out of life: love, family, house, and just an enjoyable companion with love. The love you dream of when your a child. It's complicated, and when she thinks she has it all figured out her sister does the unthinkable, and once again her world is turned upside down...... I won't say more because I don't want to give away any spoilers. I received this as an Arc and I loved it!

Would I recommend this book? Yes absolutely.
Did I find anything wrong with it? No. It was well written. I loved the story, characters, setting, etc.

Natalie- Nicole Bates has done it again. She just keeps delivering what I love to read. This is my most favorite read of this author to date. This contemporary romance with an added dash of mystery will keep you riveted. Rory & CJ are exciting characters who teach each other about love & loss. Do yourself a favor & check this book out!!

Review copy provided via Reading Alley in exchange for an honest review.

I was pleasantly surprised about this book. At first I thought it was going to be a basic every day romance novel. It wasn't. Rory came home after the death of her mom. It was the last place she wanted to be. Forced to stay to take care of a few loose ends, she gains a boarder.

CJ never thought he would ever find someone to love. One look at Rory, and he knew he just might have found her.

Just when you think you know where this story goes, it doesn't. Well written and I was so intrigued, I read this whole book in less than 24 hours.

I usually don't like books with so many twists and turns, but this one didn't bother me.
HASH(0xa0001d74) out of 5 stars Sweet Romance April 28 2015

One Winter by Natalie-Nicole Bates is a lovely story. Rory comes back home to Mount Pleasant but she does so very reluctantly. CJ is on his his last job with his company, as he is about to sell it and retire. Rory and CJ meet and realize they are kindred spirits, but of course they fight it. Their journey to each other is a very emotional one. The only issue I had with the story is how indecisive Rory acted...she needed to make sure and say something at some points in the story but never really stood firm. In the end she got her act together but it took awhile. I do recommend this story for someone looking for a sweet romance.

Rory Lane fled her home as a teenager. Now living in London for more than a decade, she is called back home due to the death of her mother. Reluctantly, Rory returns and is saddled with a lot more than just a funeral. ONE WINTER features a little of everything --romance, murder, and mystery, all around an odd little town where everyone seems to have a secret or agenda. I LOVED this book. It's always a treat to read a full length Natalie-Nicole Bates romance.
