I love fun decks. I use them for fun, for readings, and for debrief and ice breaker activities. My favourite is the Food fortune deck (also on Amazon).
This deck was underwhelming. The dog theme is adorable- I loved reading the paragraphs- but unless you're a dog owner, it doesn't apply to you.
I was also hoping for a bit more creativity with the illustrations.
The food fortune deck set the bar really high.

More of a Novelty Card Deck
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 26, 2018Verified Purchase
Not a tarot deck at all, but a novelty set of thirty beautiful dog pictures printed on cheap flimsy card.
These cards are divided into eighteen Major "Barkana" and twelve "Minor Barkana". The minor having the, one the numbers, 1, 3 and 7 of each of the dog themed suits, which are bowls, leashes, biscuits and bones.
This set might make a cute and amusing gift for a dog lover, but not really useful as a tarot deck at all.

The tittle is misleading, it is not a TAROT pack
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on April 6, 2013Verified Purchase
I was looking forward to this pack as there are not many "dogs" tarot around and very good tarot based on feline.
What a disappointment!
First the tittle is misleading, it is not a tarot pack at all. Only 30 cards as opposed as 78 cards with a tarot pack.
Some cards are labelled like the tarot (The Fool, The Magician, The Moon, The Sun, The Chariot, The Wheel of Fortune and Justice) but the numerological correspondence is totally wrong. The Fool is number 1, The Magician is 2, The Moon is 17, The Sun is 8, The Chariot is 12, The Wheel of Fortune is 17 and Justice is 18!
There are 4 suits with 3 cards each. The suits are bowls, leashes, biscuits and bones. There is a feeble attempt to make them like traditional pip cards, with no illustration, just a symbol of each suit repeated according to a number.
On these points alone, one wonders why this pack has been labelled Tarot. It is a best an oracle, at worst just a few cards with no substance in the tarot, numerology or astrology.
The only good thing, is that the illustration of the "major arcana" (and I would use the word major arcana loosely here) are very good. What a shame that the artist had to lend their talent to such a mediocre project.
The idea of a canine tarot is a great one and overdue.
If the artist Marty Blake could work with somebody with a deep knowledge of the Tarot, then a Dog tarot could be a winner!
Overall, I feel I have wasted some hard earned money on something that would sit on a shelf for years to come.
If you are serious about the Tarot, this pack will be a major disappointment.

Awful
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on February 22, 2020Verified Purchase
I bought this Deck for my mother for Christmas. My mum loves dogs. I was very disappointed with the pip cards and the cards were bent and it looked used. Gave it one star because my mum likes the images of the dogs but other than that...It is a no from me .
