Owala Freesip are such great quality products.
The drinks keep their temperature for an impressive amount of time. Last night, I put water and a few ice cubes in my bottle but forgot about it. This morning, the water was still very cold - not room temperature. It's a way better quality product than most water bottles out there, whose mention of "insulation" is only perfunctory. This water bottle keeps the temperature of the drink.
I also have to say that I LOVE drinking out of the Freesip top. You have two choices: first, if you place your lips just at the tip of the cap, you get to use the straw. The straw is excellent, thick quality plastic. It's actually fun to sip the drink in this way. The drinks come up easily and you can leave the bottle upright. If you want more drink quickly, you can also tilt the bottle and there is a larger hole from which more flow (and small ice cubes, if you have them in the bottom) can come out. It's also a very comfortable to drink.
The only drawback is that the straw doesn't completely go to the bottom of the bottle, so I usually use a straw for about 90% of the bottle's capacity, and then I have to switch to tilting the bottle and using the second larger hole.
What drew me to Owala bottles was the amazing range of beautiful colours. But I was put out by the price tag. But make no mistakes: these are not standard quality bottles - they are high quality, well designed, and are worth the extra price tag. Once you get one, you won't believe how much you come to love this bottle!

Best bottles. Arrived scratched top
24oz Shy Marshmallow.Owala Free Sip are the BEST bottles I've ever owned. This one came with the lid scratched up. -1 star for arriving with damage, and not super noticable. Still, paying a LOT for product arriving damaged.If you've never owned one, buy one now! Pros: Straw function - you don't have to use much suction to get a lot of fluid. No issues with pressure or venting (Contigo at times wouldn't flow). You can also use the wide area to "chug". All pieces are very well made. Lid doesn't pop open easily or accidentally. Lock function and carry hook in one. Tried and tested leak proof (shook it and turned upside down). Hygienic drinking- no need to put dirty hands near mouth piece to close or open (perfect for nurses). No mold! The lid cleans easily, no tiny mechanical pieces (like Contigo) that can trap fluid and cause mold growth. Dishwasher safe. Keeps drinks cold! Straw stays securely in lid even when shaken! Wide opening - for easy cleaning and filling (I like large pieces of ice). Great colors. Easy to hold (non slippery). Fits perfectly into the cup holders of my Hyundai Santa Fe 2017.Cons: Sold out every where! Color choices are limited because they're sold out everywhere. Won't fit my car cup holder with the silicone boot on it. Carry handle and secure lock function as one- I'm worried that I might open it by accident when using the lock loop to carry it (although the button requires significant pressure to push open).
