Format: Paperback
Well organized in thematic units, this dictionary is fully illustrated, making it extremely easy for one to understand and memorize new words. It is very well translated in the sense that it really uses brazilian portuguese (rather than portuguese from Portugal) words and they are very well applied. At the end it has a very useful index, which pinpoints the exact location of the word in the dictionary. I would recommend for beginners and intermediate speakers who occasionally are looking for specific words.

HASH(0xa3046e10) out of 5 stars One of the best picture dictionaries out there! Feb. 28 2008

I own three Portuguese picture dictionaries (even though I am an adult), and this was by far, the best one. I find it easier to learn a foreign language when I can associate the word with an image/picture. On top of that, it's almost like reading a children's book... which makes learning a foreign language so much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this book!

HASH(0xa3046dbc) out of 5 stars Easy learning! March 14 2007
By Javier Lizano - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I first saw this book while co-authoring a book for my great Brazilian friend Remi Brito. She uses it in her English class. The book is basically what the title states, a Picture Dictionary. It shows a picture of a table along with the word "table" and then next to it the Portuguese word for table "mesa." It is quite simple and easy to use and can get a person up and running in a quick manner. A fantastic way to increase your English vocabulary.

Great book, good price!
