Great book with great stories and route descriptions provided. My one critique would be having campsites labelled and numbered on the map for reference. The park maps are hard to find and that would have been a huge asset in planning trips based on the routes provided.

Very informative, though I was looking for a bit more general knowledge. This book provides very specific routes whereas I would have preferred maybe a lake by lake description.

I enjoyed the historical tidbits the author includes. He has clearly done these trips many times. I will be referencing this book for years to come.

HASH(0xa7bd8658) out of 5 stars Excellent overview - but bring detailed maps! June 20 2007

This is an excellent book, which can guide you through the beginning stages of choosing a route and planning your trip, but you had better bring a more detailed map - especially for the French river trips. The maps in the book along with the trip details probably are not enough.
