Product Description

Never fall in love with a bank robber.

Especially if she’s the one who robbed your bank, took you hostage, and dumped you unconscious at the local convenience store. And definitely not if you are the assistant district attorney of Tupelo, Mississippi.

This is the advice Hank Huckleberry Rivers would have given himself, back when he was a man who vowed to always walk on the right side of the law. The same law that had seemed sacrosanct ever since the day he and his friends watched as two men were murdered right below their tree house.

Falling in love with a dangerous criminal can have life-altering consequences, though. And when the past and the present meet head-on, Hank finds himself in more trouble than he ever bargained for. He must run to save his life, daring to find answers to the questions threatening his safety and his heart, as the killer below the tree house comes after Hank—and his pistol-wielding bank robber.

It’s a simple case of love in the first degree.

About the Author

Born and raised in New Orleans, Annie has a habit of shortening her words and telling long stories. She speaks with a southern flair and cooks with it too. At the tender age of twenty- one, she hitched up her wagons (took her first plane ride) and moved out west to the big shake (California). Her writing career began one sleepless night when she imagined a gorgeous woman and a man with maniacal hair floating above her like lightening bugs falling from the sky. Curious about them, their story, and why they were floating around in her head, she sat down and penned (typed) her first novel, Marigny Street. A dream come true for her, she hasn't stopped writing since. She loves a damn good love story, always has, no matter what the genre. She is particularly moved by imperfect love that in its own unique way is perfect, the notion of love at first sight, soul mates, and things that are generally out of the norm. When she's not writing she enjoys dabbling in photography and finding new, inspirational music to add to her collection. Deciding on a whim to hitch up those same wagons, Annie currently resides in Texas (where everything is bigger) with her husband, daughter, and their two peculiar dogs, Boudreaux and Tabasco (who, call her crazy, bark with an accent). For lagniappe (a little extra), a virtual cup of café au lait and beignets, please visit Annie's website: She can also be found on Facebook & Twitter.

Pistol Fanny's Hank & Delilah by Annie Rose Welch is a true delight to read. I love the interaction between the two main characters of Hank & Delilah. Of course the story would not be complete with out the rest of the gang - Curly, Pistol, and Freud. This book has it all mystery, suspense, romance, action, intrigue and a lot of hilarious moments.

As children Hank Huckleberry Rivers and his friends witnessed several murders which leads him into becoming the District Attorney of Tupolo, Mississippi. While in the bank Hank finds himself in the center of a bank robbery. And the robbers are women. What's a guy who has dedicated his life to putting the bad guys away to do? Why fall totally and helplessly in love of course.

Ms. Welch's writing is amazing. It's full of so mush heart and detail that you feel like your right there with the characters going through everything they are. It's a total thrill ride. I loved it and want more to the story.

You have got to read this book!!!

This is the first time reading anything by this author ,but I do have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this great story. It was hilarious with a twist of mystery thrown in. Some of the things say and done in the story had me laughing out loud through this whole story. This story starts with an exciting beginning that never sways from that, as you're introduced to Hank and his very interesting childhood friends. Their faced with an dangerous situation that they must all over come, there is also secrets from their past they must also deal with. They meet up with a group of woman who just happens to be bank robbers ( which I though was funny ) I could go on and tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil this story for you. I highly recommend you read this great story, you won't be disappointed.

Witty, charming and suspenseful, those are just a few words that describe this adventure in a book.

Hank (aka Toots) is a good guy, DA, that is drawn in by a bad girl, bank robber. Mystery and hilarity ensue. Never a dull moment even when the story gets a bit loopy in the centerish, that is explained but it did make for some rereading of sentences.
The writing was great and I laughed out loud a few times but I was confused by the different characters nickname’s. There were lots. I would have been satisfied if they just stuck with the awesome given names.

I give Pistol Fanny's Hank & Delilah by Annie Rose Welch, 4 stars for its wit and Southern charm!

4.0 out of 5 stars Quirky, well-crafted tale July 20 2017

Do you believe in love at first sight? Many people don't. But what if it happens to you, and the person you instantly fall in love with is a bank robber who has a gun to your heart? This is the basis for this well-crafted story. It reads like a fairytale. It reads like a long dream. It reads like folklore.

I really enjoyed the wonderful names of characters. They are funny and unique. I loved the use of word motifs. I truly appreciated that all details are intentional and have a place in the story; all is revealed in the end.

In order to really enjoy this book, you have to suspend reality a bit and go with the quirkiness. It does get confusing at times - I wasn't always sure who was who, and sometimes I got lost in the storytelling. But as I said, every detail has an important role and place in the overall arch of the tale.

Quite the enjoyable book!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I started reading this book but whatever it was didn't even get close to what I found! Hank & Delilah's story was a riot.

It was a quirky, engaging and very entertaining read packed with action, adventure, mystery and romance. The story had an old fashioned feel to it at times - possibly down to Del and her music choices and how she lived her life, I'm not entirely sure - but I loved it. I laughed a lot during the read but it wasn't all fun times, there were some sad and serious events that shaped both our main characters.

Both leads were very likable and I was rooting for them from the off. Hank had a great sense of humour and his take on people and events tickled me. His persistence and determination to win Delilah round was endearing, while at the same time I could understand Del's hesitation and slight reluctance to become involved with him!

We were introduced to a whole host of characters that give us an idea of the kind of lives our couple lead.. When we first met Hank's friends they were young and total boys and it was interesting to see who they had grown and how they had changed now that they were older - but the one thing that stayed constant for this little gang was their loyalty and friendship.
Delilah's family seemed never ending (this for me is where I had to keep up and really pay attention, it could be quite easy to lose track of who's who at points). The love and support that they had for each other was obvious and you didn't doubt for a second that they would do anything for each other. Look out for Freud, Del's beloved dog, he's nigh on human at points in his mannerisms and behaviour!!
The main themes that ran through the story related to friendship, trust, loyalty and being there for the 'family' that you care about (and as is true in real life, this family is not always of blood but often of choice).

If you're looking for a book that's a little different from your normal read, that has the lot going on and will keep your attention, give Pistol Fanny's a go. You won't regret it!

Hank and Delilah get 4 pistol toting stars from me!!

I struggled following the plot of this book. I also had trouble believing that the men would actually do the things that they did. The ending was somewhat predictable. All of this being said, it was fun to have a heroine that was so good with pistols that no one could come close to her expertise.
