HASH(0xa19fa474) out of 5 stars Top Knotch Shelving and Made in USA Sept. 3 2008

I purchased this unit for the garage as a way of tidying up our recycle bins.

The thing goes together quick; my wife assembled it in less than five minutes. The parts fit together perfectly. Little effort is needed in fitting them. Once together, the unit is super sturdy with no flex at all. Yet it's light enough to move around with one hand.

If you need sturdy, spacious shelving, look no further.

HASH(0xa19fa5e8) out of 5 stars Solid but not backward compatible. Nov. 4 2010

I bought these shelves to interlock with older shelves from Plano Molding. Out of the box they were not the same height of the previous model. This is easily fixed by cutting the vertical supports to the right height. The interlock molding is the same so I was able to lock them with the old model.

These are great garage shelves. I stack music equipment on them so the weight is upward of 80 pounds per shelf. The older and newer models have good stability front to back and excellent side-to-side stability. The height of the complete 4-shelf unit was not enough to make use of the vertical space available in my garage so I bought 3 units. A 5-shelf stack is ample for most garages. This arrangement gives about the same amount of space on the top shelf as is available on the other shelves, that is the top of a 5-shelf stack has just a little more vertical space as the other shelves.

Bottom line - These shelves are sturdy; strong; and somewhat tall between the selves for my preference. Plastic construction provides electrical insulation between items stacked while ribs underneath give the needed strength. Modular design make them a perfect fit for any garage.

HASH(0xa1948738) out of 5 stars Excellent Feb. 3 2010

We needed a sturdy shelf so after much searching decided on this. It was the right choice for us. Went together extremely fast. Sturdy enough for linens, boxed
foods, childrens toys and shoes. Wouldn't put canned goods on it or heavy tools. It is a strong plastic and we like it.

HASH(0xa1ed0a98) out of 5 stars Great Unit; But What's With The Frustrating Pricing? March 14 2009
By T. Coleman - Published on Amazon.com

The five stars is for the product, not the buying situations (plural).

I purchased this unit for pantry purposes, and it's terrific. Sturdy, very easy to assemble and very functional. I wanted another, right away; but went in a different direction out of sheer confusion, if nothing else.

How much is it today? Is it on the free-shipping/Prime list? Is it available now, or is it maybe shipping in three or four weeks? All this changes almost daily. I finally gave up on it even though I gave it several days to settle down because I didn't want to wait four weeks nor pay more than I had previously (afraid that was at its highest). At one point, it was available at a good price and I hesitated a bit too long -- yep, then it suddenly was 2-4 weeks.

Is this a game or what?

I ordered something else. Next day, it was available, and at a good price. Then it was free shipping at a much higher price, of course (I understand that part). Today it's the lowest price I've seen; but not free shipping. It still is less totally (by about eight or nine bucks) than what I paid for it in the first place, on free shipping. Yep, and I first ordered it only 12 days before I'm writing this.

Yep, very nice shelving unit; but I'll be satisfied avoiding this frustration and using something else that's less efficient; but prettier.

Even though it's too late for me to afford another, can we please get this straight, Amazon? Makes a person feel that you're dealing with some flaky sellers. I can sympathize because you may be feeling the same frustrations I'm feeling.

In sum, I like the product enough to buy another; just try to keep your eye on the fast-moving target.

HASH(0xa19ea7f8) out of 5 stars Dimensional Complaint Oct. 11 2012
By RKM - Published on Amazon.com
I agree with the reviewer who complained about Amazon's inability to list correct product dimensions. Several years ago I bought similar shelves to these from Amazon, only made by Rubbermaid. They are great for garage storage and I wanted to add some more. I found these shelves and checked the dimensions to see if they matched the shelves I have. Well, as I have experienced numerous times when shopping on Amazon, the dimensions are obviously incorrect. Doesn't it make sense that a prospective buyer would want to know the dimensions of the product when it is ASSEMBLED?
So as usual, I have to do additional research before buying in order to determine if these shelves are comparable to the ones I have. Amazon, you need to kick your game up a notch!
