From the Publisher
The Pocket Universal Principles of Design:
Universal patterns of form, social role, and story that have innate appeal. Explorations of archetypal forms as a way to tell people 10,000 years from now to ‘stay away’ from a nuclear waste repository.
A tendency for similar characteristics to evolve independently in similar environments. Strategies for movement through a fluid have converged over millions of years. This suggests that new systems will likely need to use one of these strategies to be competitive.
A property in which a thing is composed of similar patterns at multiple levels of scale. The Mona Lisa photomosaic, the African acacia tree, fractals, and Roman aqueducts all exhibit self similarity.
135 Threat Detection
Threatening stimuli are detected more efficiently than nonthreatening stimuli. In visually complex environments, threatening stimuli are detected more quickly than nonthreatening stimuli.

The book is about 20mm thick and I'm concerned that in time the spine glue may weaken and pages fall out but maybe my fear is unfounded and modern page glue is stronger than it looks.
The only thing. It took quite some time for delivery (almost 2 weeks) but the communication from the seller was good.
Each 'subject' is dealt with very briefly, I mean really abbreviated so to speak.
But for all that it is an excellent aid as an index for further reading.
Note that I also have the 'full size' publications and would recommend them also.
