HASH(0x9e60f4bc) out of 5 stars No excuse for not getting started July 18 2011

Many smaller churches fail to take advantage of technology - such as podcasting - simply because they lack the knowledge of what is available or how they could and should be applying it. Podcasting church provides any church who desires to further their outreach or expand their ministry to current members all the information they need to take advantage of the many benefits of both audio video podcasting.

Some of the information may seem a little technical if you are unfamiliar with audio and video terms, but the vast majority of the book is written in a very easy to understand style. The book inspired me to begin podcasting and gave me the info I needed to start podcasting right away.

Also the author is very helpful if you have any questions. Overall, if you're looking for a quick read to introduce your church to the world of podcasting, Podcasting church is a great resource.

HASH(0x9e60f948) out of 5 stars Wealth of knowledge, easy to read Sept. 8 2011

Format: Paperback
Books covering technology topics usually fall into one of two categories:

1. Greatly informative with a true depth of knowledge, but dryly written.
2. Entertainingly written, but only covering on the key aspects of the technology.

This book manages to take the positives of those two categories and combine them. A great deal of information is presented covering the ins and outs of audio and video production for podcasting and it's done in such a way as to be entertaining and easy to read. I've been involved with computer technology, the internet, and media production for a good deal of my life and I still learned quite a bit from this book.

If you've shied away from taking the plunge because you thought it would be too hard or too expensive to podcast this book is for you.

If you've been podcasting for years and you're looking for inspiration to take it to the next level, this book is for you too.

After discussing starting a podcast at our church, I seeked out as much information as I could. I found a thread about this book at and was quite pleased with the purchase. Good overall content and Paul Clifford brought to light some issues that I was not aware of. I feel more prepared entering this endevor after reading this book. I recommend this book to anyone thinking about starting a podcast. As a bonus, I found the author's wedsite to also be quite helpful.
