POINTE
Getting screwed over backstage by my married-ex tears my heart into a million tiny pieces.
[Sitting in the audience at the ballet with my former fling wasn’t my idea of fun.]
I live in my pointe shoes, not even my ex can taint my love for ballet.
[I hate the ballet. This on again/off again crap was getting old.]
And then my whole world changes when I notice the smoldering gaze…
[Then I look to the stage, and I can’t take my eyes off…]

OF...
Leo Richards.
[Adeline Parker.]
Concentrating on anything except his sexy…everything, is impossible.
[Her presence commands my attention…I’ve never experienced this before.]
He makes me second-guess everything I’ve ever dreamed about.
[She makes me question everything I’ve ever known.]
Fighting him is a strategic sport—no clothes allowed.
[All I can think about are her sexy ballerina legs wrapped around me—tutu definitely on.]

BREAKING
Our scandalous rendezvous is plastered all over NYC’s tabloids.
[Because of my status in Manhattan, now I’ve dragged her into the limelight.]
My ex will stop at nothing to tear us apart.
[Seriously powerful people forbid me to be with her.]
Rumors about his past keep building.
[I can’t tell her this secret.]
When it came to Leo, I only knew the big things.
[When it came to Adeline, I knew nothing about the little things.]
But uncovering those things about him [her] may push us past our breaking point.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mind Blown. July 19 2015
By Kit - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
After reading the first chapter I had to put my kindle down and ask myself “Did that really just happen?" Yes, Yes it did. I love when a book has the power to blow your mind in only the first chapter. This book was filled with ever emotion known to man and it was a hell of a roller-coaster ride. Both Sarah and Amy did an incredible job bringing this story to life. The characters are well developed and have personalities that make them stand apart from most books out there. Leo is strong yet he wants his fathers approval. Living the rich life has it's ups and down and Leo breaks through the typical stereo type to prove that love is the most important thing in life not power. You need to be able to risk it all for the reward. Screw what is expected from you, you need to make your own choices in life. If you want the sexy ballerina in the fishnets go for it she might just be the best thing that ever happens to you. Adeline is a ballerina that breaks the mold with her strong personality and proves that ballet can be deeper then a girl prancing around in a pink tutu. Just as her life seems to be going in a good direction a man comes in a smashes it to pieces. She decides she need to focus on her dancing no more men. Then she meets Leo and her world is thrown into utter chaos. Dancing is her dream and from one slip up she just might lose it all. As their relationship starts to get serious secrets and lies come to head and Adeline is again left with a broken heart. Leo needs to prove to her that their love is worth fighting for by giving up on his privileged life to finally be the man she deserves. I recommend this book to everyone definitely a must read.
I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

3.0 out of 5 stars 3 Just OK Stars July 28 2015
By Nmmomof4 - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Overall Opinion: This was an interesting read with a unique (at least to me) premise. I like the mystery and the drama that goes on, but the romance became kind of a side story for me because of it. They were a cute couple, but we definitely had some "instalove" going on here...another "just ok" book for me.

Storyline: This is Adaline and Leo's story. Leo is dragged to the ballet by his on again off again friend with benefits, Sasha, even though he despises it. Meanwhile, Adaline is being seduced and deceived by her ex-fiancé, Blake, into having sex backstage. Before the Blake leaves her all disheveled, he pulls out his wedding ring and lets her know that he is now married (to Sasha's sister). Needless to say, Adaline is a mess (physically with her costume and emotionally) but needs to get onstage. When she starts her dance she finds Leo in the audience and dances her most passionate dance for him. The pair form an instant connection through her dance. After the show, Leo follows her to a pub down the street. She is upset because her director chewed her out for missing her cue and not being in proper costume so her spot/scholarship at the prestigious dance school is on the line. They meet and find out (much to their displeasure) that they are connected by association to Blake. Drama, drama, and more drama ensues throughout the story...they have to deal with paparazzi (Leo is a wealthy socialite), ex-friends-with-benefits, jealousy over dance partners, psychopathic ex-fiancées, secret society arranged marriages and other politics, and upset snotty mothers...but they find their HFN.

POV: This was alternating between Adaline and Leo's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Ok. It was slow at some points and fast in others. It was a case of "instalove" for sure because they were both feeling it around the 35ish% mark, but the story had so much else going on that we were able to focus on that...so maybe that's why they got the development of the feelings part out of the way..?

H rating: 3 stars. Leo. He was ok. Sweet, seemingly loyal, good guy.

h rating: 3 stars. Adaline. She was ok. Sassy, independent, talented chick.

Angst level: Low. No tissues needed for this one.

Heat level: Moderate. Some steamy times.

Closure: Not enough closure for me, and that is why I think it is a HFN ending. We do not get any commitment (further than what they had) and it was a pretty lousy epilogue because of that. Why even call it an epilogue? It should've just been another chapter...I guess because it was a jump to several months ahead...? I still had questions unanswered...

3.0 out of 5 stars Pointe of Breaking will shred some hearts... Dec 10 2015
By Amy's Review Obsession - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Actual Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars

Why? Adeline is someone that you will want to meet. She's strong. She's beautiful. She's smart. She's generous. Until you throw in the ex-fiancee and the self-deprecating thoughts.

This book is all about secrets and how long they can hold onto them until the one that they love brings it out of them. In all honesty, I thought this book was fast-paced and yet it made me rethink everything that I knew about relationships. Adeline is ridiculous. You realize halfway that she lets men define who she is and it definitely faces a society problem that we see every day. The double standards. For example: It's okay for a man to sleep around, he's considered a king. When a woman sleeps around, oh hell's no. She's a slut. She's a whore. You know?

Adeline is someone who is preparing for her performance with her partner, going through the steps in her head when she runs into her ex-fiancee, the little trouble maker in her life, belittling her to nothing and has sex with her in the janitor's or broom closet or whatever. It was hot, steamy, but he pretty much forced it out of her and took advantage of her. I'm not calling rape on this but it definitely felt like that because just reading this part, made me feel violated.

Yes but Amy,...

No, no. I liked the book. Don't get wrong. I read the entire book within a day. It was just long and grueling and if you're not into happy endings, this isn't the book for you.

You feel? But Leonardo is someone is who makes her feel something that she never thought that she could have. He's the one that crept his way into her heart.

"I never wanted any of this. I never wanted Blake. I never wanted you. I never wanted anyone in my life. I wanted to dance. That's it. I lost my sister and I couldn't do anything about it. So I just wanted to put on my pointe shoes and live a life that someone else choreographed. I have fought for everything in my life. After Drew, my sister, Blake, I just wanted not to fight anymore. " "And then you..." Her breath stuttered. "And then you come into it and you make me want to fight! You make me want to scream, to laugh, to love, to be more than just some choreographed dance that someone else has mapped out for me! Leo, you are a dance I want to perform my whole life. I want to fight for you. But please...-please, don't stop fighting for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars love, and finding your way through life July 21 2015
By Angela Marie/Fallen for Books - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Received an advanced copy for the blog Fallen for Books

Have you ever had a book that makes you feel EVERYTHING?! And not just little feelings, but the extreme highs and lows? Yeah, this was that book for me. This is a rip your heart out, brush it off, and rip it out again story. But it's also a story of never giving up, love, and finding your way through life.

I can't even put into words how amazing this book is. I don't get book hangovers. Until this one.

This is a story of Adeline and Leo. Adeline has been busting her butt to become a prima ballerina, but she hasn't had it easy. She comes from humble beginnings and nothing is handed to her. She doesn't care what people think, and she dances to her own beat.

Leo is a wealthy, entitled, frat guy. He knows his place in the upper society, but has become restless with his life.

Then one night, Leo gets dragged to the ballet, and his whole world is turned upside down.
Can two people from such different backgrounds defy all odds and actually be together? Or will secrets, family, careers, jealousy, and social standing tear them apart?

I knew this book was going to be good even before I started reading it. I love both Amy's and Sarah's other books. But the amount of emotions this book brought out in me simply blew me away. This is not your typical girl meets guy book. This book gets down to the nitty gritty of life. There is so much detail in the book, it left me speechless. You never have to guess how someone is feeling, the writing takes you there. You can feel the emotion Adeline is feeling when she dances, because the writing makes you see her dance. The chemistry between Adeline and Leo literately leaps off the pages. It's the perfect balance of hot, sexy, steamy, heart-breaking, laugh out loud, and anything else you could possibly want in a book.

If you only read a couple of books this year, make sure you read this. This is the best book I've read all year long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Powerful Story of Never Giving Up Aug. 7 2015
By Jennifer Pierson: The Power of Three Readers - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
OMG the highs and lows this book made me feel had me thinking I may need meds. I swear I felt every emotion known to man in one sitting. I have never read either of these authors, but super glad I have now. It was a very powerful story of never giving up no matter what.

Adeline doesn't come from money and has busted her behind for everything she has. She is a very talented ballerina that has been made to feel like she is nothing but trash. Her finance Blake, kept her hidden and then broke it off to marry someone in his own class. The problem is that he won't leave her alone. Leo comes from a prominent family and hates the ballet, although his mother has been dragging him there his entire life. He attends a performance as a favor to friends, when he sets eyes on the beautiful, ballerina in fish net stockings. He feels an instant connection to Adeline, and she feels it as well. Blake is threatened but this, and sets out to stop it any way he can. Can these two build something meaningful with all the obstacles in their way?

I LOVED this emotional roller coaster ride named Pointe of Breaking. It was full of angst, heartbreak, anger (mine included), suspense, sexy scenes, and messy love. The character development was great, and the secondary characters were awesome as well. I'm hoping that a couple of the secondary characters get their very own story, especially Chase and Ivan. Dual POV's always make the story much better to me and this book had it. It was a beautifully written story that kept me invested until the very end. I enjoyed this book tons, and can't wait to read more from these talented authors.
